THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, I completely forgot I wanted those skycrapper bumpstops you said you had. How much you want for em and when do you think you'll be around?

I knew we were forgetting something. You can swing by some time after I get home from vaca next week.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I try to get Mobil, Shell, BP or similar gas. I stay away from Hess. It makes my VW run like doodee.
I'm not picky, as long as they look like they sell a lot of fuel I'll stop.
I've been tanking up at the big rig place on my way to/from work. They must move a large amount of fuel every day.
It was some no-name place though, right?
Nope, a Sunoco.
You're truck doesnt need ultra-low sulfur correct? When they switched to the LMM is when it became required? Thankful I havent found a station that doesnt have ultra-low, but the thought is always on my mind when I get into areas that have stations few and far between.
07.5 is when the requirement came out, so yes LMM.
You can't get LSD anymore for on-road purposes, ULSD only.

x2 Thats what I dont like about smaller stations, you never know how long that fuel has been sitting for.

Ouch. I cant think of any Sunoco's around me that sell diesel. We used to use Gulf (since its 50 yards from my house) but they keep screwing up with the credit card so we try to avoid them unless Im paying with cash.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin likes buttons and switches and gauges. And that posi-lok is all fancy with the push button and then pull handle thingy design.

BUT HOLES WILL HAVE TO BE DRILLED!!!! :XXXXINGSADFACE!!!!:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Im yet to have bad fuel in my powerstroke yet thankfully.... Do you guys run additive in your fuel?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

why not ghetto-rig it like we do on the D30s on jeeps?

1. I'd rather not have my front driveshaft turn all the time. One of the only features I liked about the CAD design.

2. I can have 2-Low with a posi-lok deal

3. I want my dash light to work :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I run gas that my dad takes out of cars before they junk them. Works fine and it's free. My comanche usually runs on all cylinders too

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My comanche is a piece of shit but it's ten times as nice as Ken's.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather have the ring and pinion and driveshaft turning all the time than the spider/side gears turning all the time. They don't have bearings and even under 0 load there is bound to be some wear, vs the R&P, driveshaft, and carrier bearings which are designed to handle many times the torque load for much longer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that puts load on the t-case tho. spiders are easy to replace.

I'd rather not, you're crazy.

There's gear oil constantly bathing the gears, I doubt they'd see much wear at all over the lifetime of the thing.

After 90k miles when I popped the cover, everything looked mint.

I'd rather have less moving parts than more moving parts. Not sure how you can claim the opposite is better.
