Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Only issue is the store didn't have any fresh jalapenos left. So I was force into some canned ones. :(

I also tried a 7oz can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and I used 2 6oz cans of tomato paste vs the 8oz can of sauce. I also added about 1/4 lb more bacon and 1/4 lb more ground beef this round. First results seem a much thicker chili. We'll see after a night on low cooking.

I wasn't impressed with the jalapenos at my store either...they were little and kind of heatless. I don't know when their 'season' is but we might be out of it.

Other stuff sounds good, you must have a bigger cooker than I do. I don't have room to add anything without subtracting something else, which scares me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

this would be cool if the D was in front of the 60 instead of behind it
srsly. I was all like "damn it better be at least partially built for that price... wait a minute"

Blah blah blah I don't have a garage blah blah blah

I do what I can in my container, ill have a bunch of junk ready to go for when the snow is gone.
I did a tcase swap between snowbanks while you complained about not having a garage ..!..:D..!..

and when the snow is gone me and colin will be wheelin beotch
unless I break my shit by then I'll try anything even if it probably means getting stuck

Judging by all the blueing of the metal on the other side it looks like it penetrated. Flux core runs ALOT hotter. Still make sure you're not angling the gun too much while you're welding, it just looks like you're building up the bead a little too much and possibly losing some of the heat aiming into the bead and not the metal. With that said I always drag with flux and stick where possible and angle it a little.
Slag = drag, from what I have read. I do fluxcore all the time and suck amazingly at stick.
Anyone want a set of MJ overload leaves?

Also, Ken do you want the rear bumper brackets off my MJ?
maybe and yes - grabbed the pliers for you today while working on the house.

The leaves in my mj are bagged to hell, putting an ax15 in the back makes it sit level. I can see between the individual leaves even then. They need to be either re-arched or ideally, replaced.

Got a bunch done, not as much area as last time but I got started on the other side of the valley and got the shingles on the first side to lay in the valley nicely through very careful heatgun application.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Carmelo, someone in the jeep pickup thread in offtopic wants pics of the HONCHO HONCHO HONCHO HONCHO HONCHO

Rob, yeah not really... I guess it would be easy to install, it already rusted through everywhere id have to drill a hole to drop the hoop legs down through while welding the top of the cage

My cooker is full right to the top, can't take much more.

Kinda an oops with the extra stuff. I used a 7oz can of jalepenos rather than one large fresh one. When I taste tested them out of the can I was like "hmm... nothing much more than a green pepper" so I added the whole thing and then the 7oz chipotle in adobo sauce. Mistake. With all the seasoning I added (little more than before but not much, just this time I added it right away rather than at the end) I doubt anyone else will want more than a little bit. I love it, but it sure has a heck of an after-bite and it still has the rest of the night to simmer. Oh well, more for me I guess since I didn't get more than a spoonful last time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
