THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How is that tard?
Snow on the roof ends up being snow on the road. Snow on the road = more work for the state. Clean up yer own shit and don't make the state do it.

Ha, you seriously think they are going to send out a plow for that amount of snow? I would laugh if someone told me to go plow that.

If that comes off while driving, at least half of that is turning to powder and the other half will be small chunks that will slide over to the side of the road. I saw it happen a few times on my drive home yesterday.

We had one in the the old cavalier couldn't get it to hold a charge. Swapped it out twice before getting one that worked (no it wasn't the car because there was a rebuilt alt and the 3rd lasted). I'm still hesitant to buy another. I will say they swapped them out no issue though.

Were they good at all, or did they crap out right off the bat?

I had zero issues with mine from April to October, then ever since I had that connection issue during the last race in October it never worked right. It'll sit at ~12V but I guess the amps just aren't there.

I'm sure the racing stuff isn't helping; it's a pretty bumpy ride for any battery. I'll exchange it and see how it goes.

I hate people that do that.
Please post that in the thread in Off-Topic where that guy was defending "just cleaning the glass and go".

Yep. Rush hour commuting = go as fast as you possibly can and keep up with the guy in front of you.

Gigantic holes in traffic like that just make me take the next available opportunity to pass you on the right and further (<- correct usage!) screw up traffic.

Whether this nets me any real progress in getting to work is irrelevant. It's the principle of it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sounds about similar in dimensions to that MJ that Adam's buddy had at Rocktoberfest?

I never posted my tard picture from the day after that snowstorm.

Hey buddy, wrong way. :D

Yeah probably similar to that MJ, I don't remember.

I just want a good departure angle and to be able to mount my shackle back there.

That has nothing to do with it.

If there is a sheet of ice underneath that, it could come flying off and shatter a windshield.

This has already been covered numerous times in off-topic. Just ask Ken how much he likes it when people do that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oops, completely misunderstood Bill's post.

Thought he was saying Colin was tarded for leaving 10 car lengths in front of him in a passing lane on a perfectly clear road.

My point still stands. :D

That's not the issue.
The issue is when it comes and hits your car it does damage and restricts view.

Both the first two batteries lasted about 2 or 3 weeks before they would need to be jumped. Of course couldn't even do that because they had an internal short. Maybe just a bad batch.

Yeah, if it's been working stick with 'em.

Yeah I was kinda wondering... haha.

I agree, that is retarded.

Sacrifices must be made to get proof of other tards though.

But getting that proof makes me a tard...

DAMNIT.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Looks like I'm really gonna have to suck it up to work on the MJ tonight...

Freakin cold as hell.
pansy :spin1: I did my transfer case without even a tent!

But yeah, I couldn't feel my fingers and for once I was thinking to myself "why the hell did I even start this project?" halfway through. Once the wind died down it wasn't half bad.

I agree, I can't even function when it's 80*+ and humid.

I think I'm going to trim the rear wheel well openings, and work on taking measurements/first cuts on bobbing the bed. Rear MJ openings are massive, and I actually don't have to trim much to stuff the 40s in there.
Yeah, basically my rules are:
* if I can't feel my fingers, I am pissed off.
* if my ass crack is sweating I am REALLY pissed off.

I'm surprised you don't have to trim much, I figured with 40s and not much height you would have almost no bedsides left :roflmao:

SWEEET my PSC stuff is going to be here on Wednesday.
awesome. My new-to-me aussie is showing up tuesday probably :D

wow this just made my morning. i was throwing some salt down in front of my work, then i see a guy across the street strip down to nothing, i mean no shoes, no clothes, no nothing. Then he started walking up the street on the soild double yellow bare ass. the cops finally caught up to him and brough him back to get his clothes and he was yelling something about god, then he started singing god bless america god bless america god bless america. quite entertaining.
:roflmao:

'99 XJ has an Interstate the PO put in.
'97 XJ has the Sears Platinum
My truck has the original factory batteries.
The 98 has a brand new battery (forget where I bought it, think Autozone so probably a duralast)
The 96 has a year old battery (think it's a duralast) which I keep running down completely dead, twice this week now. I need to figure out where the hell the parasitic draw is, I suspect it's my interior lights because the switch for the driver door is fubar.
The MJ has the battery I got with it, it's completely covered in horrible residue of some sort and I have no idea what it is but it works fine and starts every time. It was real pissed off about starting when I left it sitting for 2 months but got the job done.

And yes, I absolutely hate it when people leave ice on their roofs in big slabs. At least break it up so it doesn't fly so well, and doesn't do so much damage... snow I care less about, my usual trick is to break up the snowpack with my windshield scraper and then do a few loops at the back end of the parking lot, problem solved.

I will cut you if you leave ice on your roof. I will merely glare at you and wish bad luck upon you if you leave snow.

Ya I see that now, especially after finding the thread you guys were talking about. But my response does say why Anthony's response doesn't really make sense.

Maybe I'll clean the snow off my roof today.

THAT is a funny story! how old was he?!? if he's old, then I feel bad, but if he's not so old, he's just a hilarious nutjob or jerk.

I'm pretty darn sure MA made it a law that you must clear off the snow on your roof as it is a serious hazard to other drivers. Not only could it crack your windshield, but it could also block vision and cause a major accident. Yet freaking idiots continue to drive around in la-la land like it's no big deal.

MA would make a law about it... This state has a law for everything. That's just plain common sense.

If there wasn't a law about it, and I was a police officer, I would write people up for littering if their snow ended up on someone else's windshield. Or maybe improperly secured load.
