THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm doing it. Everyone else is gonna be jealous. You'll be able to tell if it's working too because i've got my vacuum gauge.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I dunno, I don't think I'd break the 10F/300Ms.

They're light 40s (comparably speaking), and my final drive (not that I have anything to compare it to) is 88:1 in 1st/low.

Selectable front/rear WOULD be sweet.

EDIT: final drive is 110:1 in reverse

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ARB/lockrite and RCVs up front

Or ARB/ARB and 10Factory/300Ms up front?

It's close to $900 cheaper than RCVs.

ARB, lockrite, 35-spline 4340s, spicer life series joints.

I know I brag about my large amount of Dana 60 carnage, but honestly I haven't broken anything in over 2 years now (and almost 3 years on the current set of shafts), and this past year was the most brutal shit I've ever put that thing through. One of the stubs has about 2* of twist at the splines. I have no idea how long it's been like that for, and it's still in there. If I find a good deal on stub shafts somewhere I'll probably swap it out and keep it as a spare, but I'm not that worried about it.

And even with all the 4340 stuff that I *did* break, which is 3 stub shafts total, I'm still only in it for the initial amount plus a little bit of shipping because it was all warrantied. And that's with Yukon stuff, and all breakage occured in 182:1 low range.

For what you're gonna be doing, IMO that's a crapton of money you could easily spend elsewhere on the rig.

I'm holding back, because you know what you were doing to me when I was having these debates in my head. "Well, you know you only want to buy stuff once, whats a few extra dollars here, well if you do that you might as well go with this item, or this one for only a few pennies and nickels more" :D

Excellent point.

Good points I guess. I have 0 experience with D60 carnage so I'm not sure what to expect. I don't have the gearing of a doubler...so you think I would be ok with 10F and spicer 806s? I have like half of the low range you do.

I'm holding back, beacuse you know what you were doing to me when I was having these debates in my head. "Well, you know you only want to buy stuff once, whats a few extra dollars here, well if you do that you might as well go with this item, or this one for only a few pennies and nickels more" :D

That was so much fun :D

Remember lock rights are instantaneously resell-able too

dont do it unless its a SICK deal, and comes with everything
they are a nightmare to setup, and you need special bearings and shims

I have my eyes on a couple on ebay, including a sweet "mr fix it" home appliance repair yellow 2dr. Seems appropriate somehow.

Colin, RCVs or bust :moon:
