Alright, I know think I know what Carmelo was talking about me going back to old posts. Its because I'm out doing stuff, and when I get back I sometimes decide to read all the posts, and comment on them.

and whats wrong with the TNT kit? comes with every bracket necessary and you just burn her on?

Several people have complained of poor welds on the TNT kit and there was one guy that had the welds fail on his.

That and they are really overpriced. $400+ with all the factory mounts on them.

Ya, They did have a batch of bad welds, and both Bill and my trusses came in bent. It was nice for just throwing it on there and welding it on to save time, but I did have to fix it a little.

Portals are cool too. Although if I ever did portals, I think I would go back to a 44 center section or a flipped 9 since alot of the stress is being taking off center gears. It also all depends on which portals you use, some require flipped center sections and front or rear engine setups to get the axles turning in the correct direction. The new portals that Jeep released on the ImMortal are nice since you can use regular axles and keep the rotation correct.

I would love to have those ImMortals on mine.

I'm heating up my garage and then going to do some painting in/on the Jeep. And while verything is drying I'll run the vent line and gett he rest of the gas out of my old tank along iwth the pump. Then I can put it all back together and go drive around tonight. Maybe do some mawl crawlin and pick up some 12 year olds

how much gas was left in? if its a little just pull the pump assem ans let the rest evap.

yeah, that's the only reason I'm debating it at all. We'll see, if I get there and feel too lousy to work on the roof, I'll spend the evening in the attic vacuuming out old rockwool instead.

Still have to run errands a get a bunch of stuff.

- Brads to get all my filters and the studs/nuts
- CVS to pick up more crap for my burn
- Autozone for oil
- WT for a 39/64 bit
- Haircut since I hate going on the weekends when its wicked busy

Isn't that all within like 10min of your house? You can get that plus the oil change and tow hooks done. I have faith.

:laugh: I did now. I've heard plenty of VWs and ridden in my fair share of "turbo'd" ones. Not one, even those with non-factory exhaust sound good. I'm still sticking with my weedwacker. Low burble fart cans don't impress me.

I've heard some good sounding 4cyl engines but nothing that I recall can be used on the street.
