Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well wait dumb question. if the hiem is on the RH side knuckle do I need standard threaded inserts and hiems or oppisite?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Fair enough! Was he workin on his jeep??? Maybe I'll give him a call and get myself an update :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ehh, No comprendo. You just get RH or LH heims and the matching tubing inserts for whichever you choose... Can ya be more specific? Maybe I'm just totally missing the point of the question or something heh

well I always thought there was a rule, if it's on the drivers it should be RH threaded, or if its on the passenger it should be LH thread... something like that.... it's always what I heard.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For the tie rod I'm assuming? Not that I know of. As long as the jam nuts are tight I don't see what the difference would be. For example, Poison Spyder's HD steering had LH on both ends, sucks to align what with having to take off the TRE/heim from a knuckle, but their idea was that if you managed to roll the tie-rod on a rock, it wouldn't affect it, it would just slide a little right/left...

I don't think it matters what side its on, you just need one thats LH thread, and one thats RH thread, so that you can actually adjust the thing without taking it off.

I know the TRE on my tie rod going to my Passenger knuckle is LH thread, the TRE going to my driver knuckle is RH thread. The TRE on the draglink going to the passenger side TRE is RH thread, where as the TRE going to the pitman arm is LH thread.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i went out and looked at my caster earlier. it looks like it's tipped back at least 5* but that's just a guess... i mean, my C's aren't pointed at the ground (in front :gee:) or anything. i would think that with at least some it would tend to help. argh this sucks. i can honestly say i never thought this would happen to me.

i'm willing to bet that the heim on my track bar that's a little loose is also causing it, somewhat.

what track bar do you have, i have a spare if you want to swap it out to see if thats it? i live in worcester now, so your a hop skip away
