anyone every use a wj rear brake setup on an 8.25 I just picked up the whole setup backing plates, calipers and caliper brackets for free and was wonder if its possible or ever been done it appears the backing plate/bearing retainer plate is the same 4 bolt pattern on the end of the axle tube

you will have to redrill the rotors, not sure on anything else, give it a shot and report back to us

sweet i am gonna see how it mocks up when i get the 8.25 and I am gonna be running front wj brakes so I may go to 5x5.5 and use the wj pads and rotors and all that stuff clarify on the offset for the backing plates....I have everything shafts included.

Some how Begleyed 2 of the larger pinion bearings on the 8.25 trying to install them. Good thing they were only $7 each, but now I have to work and my rear end is still empty

on the last one I just went to my Dads work and used the press to get it on. The hammer and punch just wasnt happening. I'll get over it though.

M&g was utter fail, no one showed up. Oh well :dunno:
Got panos without you lame asses, went to my parents place and picked up the stuff I got shipped there. Massivemobile now has a roof, working tach, and wipers, and is about to get a temp gauge, hood latches, and maybe an oil change if I feel like it. I got a pretty badass sunburn today driving it topless, hopefully will tan instead of peeling.

I saw that link this morning during my daily check of cheap ass sites. almost posted it but figured no one would care :dunno:
And in case anyone needs spare D30 shafts or anything else, there are 2 '00 XJs at Everetts along with a '95 or '96 (built in '95, not sure what model year, didn't bother figuring it out). If anyone is looking for any part(s) let me know and I will check for them, heading back to the yard tomorrow I think.
Edit: Random question... is there any reason not to run an engine w/ no transmission attached to it? Long story short I think there is some bearing or something going bad before the clutch since my Jeep makes the strange noises even while in neutral w/ the clutch in at a full stop (though it's a but quieter when there's no load on the engine). I am thinking after I pull my trans & everything next Sunday I might fire it up and rev it a bit to see if the sound still exists before re-installing the trans... starting to wonder if it's actually my engine that is getting angry (along with my trans, I know the trans isn't happy:laugh3

Haha, actually its been around for awhile but under a different name. I just finally changed it to my name and filled it out. I had to make one months ago because a ton of you people post your damn pics on facebook and then I cant see them. Plus my family has been after me to see pics of my daughter, get ahold of me, & blah blah blah.
Got a nice new extreme hi lift today for $35 thanks to Anthony.
