THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well unless the Work 'N Gear in south Attleboro has stopped carrying RedWings in the 2 years that I've gone there, they will have them. I did get my RedWings at that store.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Holy crap I'm tired. I was definitely still drunk when I got to the Garden this morning for my graduation. Something like 3000 people graduated, and with 5 parents / friends each there was like 18000 people there. DAYUM. They managed to distribute every diploma in less than a half hour too, super efficient. BUT I'M DONE AND GRADUATED BITCHES!
Grats! I just got back from my brothers graduation up in Maine. I wish I could find a job up there, he was in the absolute middle of nowhere. Maybe I should start a small company or something... But yeah, his graduating class was like 90 people. the entire graduation ceremony took 1.5 hours and took place in a '1 basketball court' size gym, half the people were sitting on the bleachers. it was great.

true value all the way. most ace's are usually just as good.
x2

My tims have lasted me a solid 4 years. I'm impressed and will buy them again.
My pro series steel toes are on 5 years though there were a couple years that they weren't used for much real hard stuff.

Edit: After the graduation a bunch of people went to 'the cabins' which were some off campus housing much like what I lived in (on campus) at college.. though there were only two cabins rather than lots of them and there were no rules unlike my college housing... but that just made me wish I was back at college hanging out around a grill with a cooler full of beer and such. :( Oh well, so I came home and made myself a pot of mac and cheese (with hot dogs, cumin, hot peppers, salsa, etc) and poured a glass of knob creek. I suppose this is as close as I can get to going back to college.

D30's suck

ok not really they do great with 33's but having to worry if you axle will or will not break sucks

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

TowerHobbies sucks. I had to cancle my order with them because they were taking too long to ship my order and emailing me out of stock when their site said it wasn't. So I placed it with another company. My scale XJ will start soon!

F*****CKKKK MEEEEE!

I hate Jeeps, I'm going to blow mine up.

So I just got one side of my explorer disks set up done, and went to install the shaft and guess what, I have no f*cking way to install/tighten those damn nuts.

Nope, can't fit anything between the flange and e-brake shoe.

And NOPE, I don't have a nice little convenient little hole.

And no, I can't just take the e-brake shoes off, as it would be impossible to get them back on once I do. I had a b*tch of a time getting them together without the shaft there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, the daul pattern told me that :D

whats the problem with trying to put the e-brake shoes on after? yeah, shoes are always a bitch but i dont wanna hear you complain about them. those cool brake hardware wrench tool lever thingys kick dick

Because they aren't regular drum brake shoes. They have two springs at the top, one of which sits behind the shoes, and they were a super b*tch to put on as they are very tight.

I never had a problem with them. Then again the last time I ordered any RC related stuff was back in like '06.

What I want to know is why people were on their computers in the middle of a fine Saturday and not working on something.
I'm with Mark, I wouldn't even want to attempt the e-brake crap with the axleshaft in place.
X2.

Mark, why not drill an access hole in the shaft just like the shock ones? It looks like there is plenty of room between the stud patterns.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Or you could take off the clips that hold the shoe to the backing plate. Then once the shoe is butted up against the shaft you should be able to fit a wrench in there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, that is what Colin and I were talking about.

I'm just dreading it because I don't have a drill bit that big, or a XXXX that would accept a bit that big unless I find one with a really small shank, (only have a 3/8" drill), and its going to be a b*tch to drill through that flange.

And then how would I get them back on?
