THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Depends.

Dimensionally they are the same (lengths, spline counts, etc). The retainer plates will be different.

If you have disc brakes on your XJ44, then just redrill the retainer plate and reuse it as it has the spacer you'll need already built into it.

He asked if the shafts were interchangeable, not the backing plates.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I ran my XJ on 2-stroke gas for a few miles when I ran out of gas after using my reserve tank up and forgetting last summer. It smoked like hell but ran and worked well enough to get me to the gas station to fill back up, luckily I only needed to add about a half gallon and still had about a gallon of normal gas in the tank

That's what I thought I put in my gas tank originally when I found out it wasn't gasoline. Turns out it was some bright red something...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

x2. I find Gatorade actually works even better. Drink a couple bottles of gatorade over the course of the day/night (while drinking) and then drink 2-3 large glasses of water immediately before passing out. The glasses before passing out will probably make you wake up to take a piss after a few hours. After taking a piss down a couple more glasses of water. Repeat until awake. Hasn't done me wrong yet. The most I ever get is feeling a bit lazy and un-motivated the next day but that's about it.
A couple of motrin before you pass out makes a huge difference too, and a decent breakfast in the morning
You just need to remember these things before you pass out, although forgetting it just once goes a long way towards remembering it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If I get hammered and wake up the next morning throwing up I just eat/drink whatever I want then just throw it back up and do it all over. Eventually it stops coming back up and I feel like superman. Not sure how that works though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And again... I haven't read anything on NAXJA (or the interweb for that matter) since Thursday. PM me important things. Thanks! :)

Some people like to give the full information on things.
Thats like someone asking you if a road still exists and telling them "Yup, it does". Then leave out the part that it isn't safe to drive on due to the volcanic action going on 3" below the surface.
IMO, backing plates are part of the shafts when talking about those axles, so he's right.

Another reason why I love northern VT, no "bankers hours". Open 7am-5pm.
Of course, EVERYTHING short of diners closes at 5pm.

Morning. I got an odd text from you that you'll have to explain to me later.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so, Mia's pretty awesome, for our anniversary she got me a new zippo, a nice motorcycle jacket, the 5th season of MacGyver, and this bad larry:

At first I was contemplating returning it for just a regular camp grill, but it's growing on me, and I think it'll actually be pretty awesome. breaks down to a somewhat reasonable size really easily, so packing it in the Jeep won't be too difficult. I'm going to go buy the grill box for it (maybe today before work)

wada you guys think?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I like the one with 2 burners.
two reasons-
a)If i need a grate to cook on, I bring the one from my large gas grill at home.works great!
b)I use alot of pan and pots when i camp cook, and its easier to control slow steady heat/fast rapid heat with a knob vs moving it around a bed of coals.

thats my opinion and im sticking to it!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think the 2nd link he posted is used on top of one of the burners... So he would keep the 2 burner one and get the BBQ 'attachment' for it.

The Camp Chef™ Deluxe Barbeque Grill Box fits over a One Cooker Burner to turn it into an outdoor barbeque. It features a flavor screen that replaces messy lava rock, a vented lid for flavor smoking and a heat diffuser to spread heat evenly.

Edit: Ya beat me to it. Oh well. I tried. Back to work.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ooohhhh... didnt read the print.
hmmmmm...

yup. I like it.
I guess it would be sweet if you want food on the fly,(less mess, less fire pit bs) and looks easy to clean.
(in Borat voice)
'I like!'

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

XXXX yeah dude. NACfest too, just sent the pre-reg. for that  I figure, I have over $300 set aside for that, AND I just spent about the same this past weekend just having a good time with Mia and me insisting on paying for shit. So I shouldn't have any trouble coming up with another couple hundred to put in the NACfest fund...no reason I shouldn't be able to make it as of right now.

GIVE ME MY BUMPER MARK

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Travis-
I was at my friends house in Raymond NH and ran into a Kyle (green xj?) that used to be in DWE a few years ago?
He says hallo and was wondering how you are doing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha that's awesome. I was wondering about him a couple months ago when I randomly signed onto MySpace(haven't done that in forever) and noticed a comment from him. He's a cool kid. Did he say if he was gonna join again this year or not? still got his jeep?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I let him know it was cheaper this year, and i mentioned :NAXJA: also.He seemed pretty interested in both. Got his # if you want it.

As far as his xj, he's rolled and recently flopped, needs a windshield and other glass i think. Oh, and he's on 37's,stock axles, and around 10" lift iirc.
