No muffler FTW!!! its seriously not as loud and unbearable as everyone makes it out to be. I DD'ed it like that for a year, and will be again soon. its not soo much loud, as it is deep growling, if that makes any sense. ive yet to find a better sounding exhuast, expect V8 muscle of course

ill never run with out a muffler again, i couldnt belive how much power i lost when i pulled my muffler off at the toy drive

back before i knew better i put a dynomax ultra flow on my moms xj(straight through design) and it sounds like shit and you only have a power increase above 4k you loose power everywhere else, when time comes i throwing a dynomax super turbo on it

i havent expexerienced any power loss, decreased back pressure, decrease MPG's, ill effects, or anything. the stock cat must flow like crap, its seems to provide enough restriction

you know... i'm thinking about putting the rest of my exhaust back on for that reason... i do miss the low end.

I was very happy with my super turbo setup. If I can fit it back somehow I'll be using it.

Exactly what I'm worried about if I have to get a very small compact exhaust. Everything I did when the engine was built was to improve the low end grunt, don't want to loss that now. I've had my eye out for a small round quiet semi-restrictive muffler. I guess I'll see when the time comes.

Really? when i first took it off, i did some comparsion tests with this setup, a glasspack, a gibson, and a some no-name FM. based off seat of the pants and a couple tanks on each, i saw no decrease or increase in top end, low end, or MPGs.

I was very happy with my super turbo setup. If I can fit it back somehow I'll be using it.

i like the way it sounds on nhrockers rig, nice growl outside but quiete insite, great for a DD wich my moms xj will be mine this spring, the 50 flowmaster on my blue jeep is a little loud for me, but im sure that the lack of floor above the muffler contributes to that

anyone up for a little offroading tomorrow or thurs around the Lowell/Nashua area?
My usual buddy i go wheelin with is down, waiting on a harness to come in.
And no solo trips... so ive been itchin to get out, at least for a few hours

certainly feel free to let me know about any legal wheeling in that area, I'm in Dracut and know of NONE...
