One day, eventually I'll buy some piece of shit buick/olds and rebuild the engine and swap the transmission back to a normal nonjeep bellhousing and rock big block power. One tons come first obviously...

WELL that was a little more friday night excitement/exercise than I bargained for...

went for an "I wish I could actually go wheeling right now" run down swan ave, halfway through found a 20 foot tall trash fire starting to burn into the woods. Called 911 and reported it, hosed it down with my extinguisher till it wasn't burning the underbrush anymore, waited... waited... waited... ran down the road and what's that? I see the fire truck driving away. Apparently the dispatcher sent them to the wrong end of swan ave. Ran till I caught up to them, they put it out, etc. I'm really glad NAXJA requires fire extinguishers now, because otherwise I never would have had one in the jeep when I drove by that.

... now that I've stopped hacking up my lungs, it's definitely time to sleep. I need more exercise.

Damn, sounds like a 'fun' night :shocked:

That's actually one of the things on the schedule for tomorrow... finally hitting up the gym again.

Then again just because it's on the schedule doesn't mean that it won't be re-scheduled. I think the JY is more important so that comes first.

Off to Everetts. I should go to the place in freetown but I took a look around and most of their stuff seeemed like it had been there for a while and was rusty. Just called everetts and apparently they just got in a couple towncars in the past 2 weeks so maybe (just maybe) the parts wont be TOO tough to tear out.

it looks like it should be 60* out, but it's mid 30's at best. :( i want to go for a motorcycle ride. i might anyway.

Just got back from the JY. That was a semi productive waste of time.

I kindof forgot that the 8" (or whatever axle it is) in the crown vic/towncar/grand marquis is a c-clip axle and that I would need to pull the axle shafts to get the brackets/backing plates off. By the time I went into the office to ask to rent a jack/jackstands (free rental) to get at the diff and pull the c-clips they were all rented out.... :( So like I said, semi productive waste of time. I now know what I need to do, and I know how to get the ford brakes off real quick... but I got nothing accomplished.

Oh, and there was only 1 XJ in the yard and it was a 94 so I couldn't pull the brake booster or better axle shafts (I didn't even bother to check if it was ABS, by that time I was getting pissed and just wanted to leave and take care of other errands, figure ill hit up freetown tomorrow

on that note, I know my new JY runs schedule for sat/sun. Head down to freetown at 9/10 AM to see if they have what since they have their vehicles on risers (and they close at 2). If I don't find what I need there head up to everetts since they close at 4:30. Sounds like a pretty sound schedule except for the "getting to the JY by 9/10AM" on a sat/sun part... I like rolling out of bed at 10 thank you very much :laugh:

was out in the garage, looks like the 98 is leeking trans fluid, not sure from were, may just pull the trans and tcase out of it or maybee i should just sell the XXXXing thing and be dont with it, on a side note im gonna be ordering a poly trans mount and new air filter for the 95 this weekend
