THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i just went to the career fair at northeastern today... and BLEH it was really really weak. there was not really any companies i'd actually want to work for there, and probably more government agencies than private companies (cough cough US Census). and to top it off, I had to navigate my way through the few companies such as AMD that had lines of like 50+ indians in business suits named vishnu

DO IT.

Post pics.

I'll be working late I guarantee it.
I "only" worked 45 minutes late today. Presentation over, tests running, I'M OUT OF HERE!

we got a million of that and a few hundred thousand of the "my GPA is stellar here is a resume that says I know how to use MS office why won't you hire me" dudes, luckily our technical interviews pretty much weed out the wannabes.

Other news - I came home to find my welding cable on the back stairs :D:D:D Time to head to Home Depot and buy some terminals since the ones I got from TSC are still in the mail

Scott, we can pull one for a hundred at sams

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

But that way I'm not guaranteed to find an axle with 4.10s. It's almost worth the extra $$ to have a known 4.10 axle with disks. Esp since it's only 9 miles away from me :dunno: I think it will be a short while before I start working on the MJ much though. I gotta get the XJ done first.

So XJ has to be done and inspected and good to go. Then I will fix up the MJ and get that registered and inspected and start DD'ing it. At which time the altima goes up for sale.

I just have to get the XJ ready as backup (plus for wheeling) incase the MJ decides to sh!t the bed one day. Not saying it's likely or that I expect it will happen... but I just need teh XJ as a backup so I can get to work just incase

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's why I wanted the spacers so the front isn't that much wider. Good point about the 1/4" each side, I was looking at it in total that it'd be 1/2" wider. But as it stands I'm pretty sure the front is wider than the rear already with the 8.25 out back?

why spend the extra time and money on a 8.8 when you got a locked 8.25 already, just buy some gears for it already

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want the 8.8 for the disc brakes. I hate my drums and I figure the cost of a disc brake set up is almost the same as a new axle that has them already. But I see what you're trying to say.

Its been awhile since I've messed with stocker axles, but I believe the stock D30 and stock 8.25 are exactly the same WMS to WMS measurement.

Depends, if you are planning on putting money into gears and locker anyway, you might as well jump out of the 8.25 and into something else. However, for someone like Scott, (whom I believe already has gears and will probably stick to smaller tires) I'd have to agree with Rob it would be wiser to just spend the ~$125-$140 swapping in ZJ discs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can't tell if that's awesome or terrifying.

Neither, I planned on it getting me home last night and doing it today. I folded the hard line over and crimped the crap out of it. It's not a smart thing to do driving it like this but I also didn't know it was blown ahead of time otherwise I would have fixed it before the swap.
