Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
Whatever you do avoid Autozone brakes like the plague. I installed a set on my old Maxima, and 7 months later, bought my first Cherokee...so, the Maxima sat for 3 1/2 weeks before I sold it, and I had moved it 2 or 3 times at most. Well, when it started moving, the rear brakes were grinding, so I brought the whole thing down to a garage to ask them to turn them, they wouldn't even touch them as they were so badly corroded. I went to go buy another set, and remembered it wasn't even a year so I figured I'd try my warranty at Autozone. Well, I went to 3 different stores before one finally accepted them. Got yelled at by a manager at the first saying they must have been taken from a junkyard because in his 30 years experience he had never seen them so bad. I told him me neither, and that they were obviously defective and/or poor quality parts. All I used on them was the brake cleaner spray when I first bought them, and they looked like they were found in the Titanic in less than a year! It was such a bad situation that I vowed to never buy them again unless they were last resort.
Cliff notes - Autozone rotors & customer service sucks.
