THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What's different about 2wd vs 4wd mj leafs?

.

i think the 4wd are a lil more heavy duty

i hear of people getting 5-6" of lift out of mj bastard packs on xjs and i used a 2wd pack and got 2" of lift

(using every leaf including main with eyes cut off)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There needs to be a lot less computer mumbo-jumbo in this thread.

you'll end up needing to know it if you end up in the field :kissyou:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sounds like a typical ford truck leaf spring mount. my favorite was when f150's would come into the shop complaining of noises in the rear of the truck and crappy ride. the shackle/leaf eye would be just chillin out on the bottom of the bed sliding back and forth

i have a hole on both sides of my bed to validate this statement

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i caught my trucks shackle hanger before it broke but it only had about 14" of material holding it on

that is one of the parts thats best to get at a dealer. i paid around $100 for the hanger, bolts and a new bushing for the leaf

Which field, Mechanical Engineering?

On the 3 co-ops I've been on (alright so I'm only 3 weeks into my 3rd) I haven't needed to know all that computer stuff.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The more things you know and the more fields you can adapt to, the better you'll do at work. As Heinlein said...

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

:laugh3::conceited

(no, I can't do half these things either)

 what wms-wms length were you hoping for?
