THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that's not pricey at all, that's a good deal... damn it!! hahah

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

5.38's are overrated, 4.88's is where its at

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

2k is a good price?!i thought like under 1k was good for those

Bolt into a TJ nv4500 for $1800?!? That's awesome. For a regular nv4500 with ??? miles and out of a 90s dodge/chevy fullsize you can find em under a grand, but with all the advance adapters junk to put it between a 4.0 and a 231 AND only 5,000 miles? That's a great deal. Plus, the work's already done. For an XJ you'd need to make a new crossmember, but no big deal

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't want to be at work today.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Don't do an early bronco D44. The diff is too far offset, and it is a low pinion. Travis (5spd_xj) had one, until we all convinced him to get a HP 44 out of an F150 or similar.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had 3 actually :laugh3: I took all the good parts off the one I bought (spool, new warn premiums, new brakes spindles etc) and then gave em away

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my buddy runs an EB 44 with 5.13s a lockrite and Chomoly shafts in his bronco II on 35s.

It holds up fine, easy to work on and had the perfect amount of space to weld on coil buckets and control arm brackets.

the 9" is a 28 spline, but just buy mine and all the work is done

I was very interested but the more and more I look into and think about it I am kinda intrigued by building my own. Plus if I build my own I can go crazy with the sawzall and go straight to 40's on 4" lift :D

Edit: Though I probably wont end up going that big...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and when you are changin out broken 44 shafts and we are still wheelin you will be jealous

and when you are "still wheelin" because of getting hung up on your diffs and we're at the end of the trail you will be jealous :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How much lower is the diff? 2"? Can be shaved down to what? 1"? That just means you need 2" larger tires to compensate... so you get 4" larger tires (because you can) and the bigger diff wins in the end.

Not to mention if someone's a wise ass and asks "what are you compensating for something?" you can accurately reply that yes, in fact you are. You are compensating for a larger rear differential which hangs slightly lower than the other options (but is much stronger) thus prompting a larger tire size to compensate for the loss of clearance caused by the differential.
