THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright, seems reasonable enough. Is the 10 bolt front OK or a weak POS? :dunno: I think that came in drivers side drop... oh well, got some calls to make tonight.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ive seen 10 bolts on big stuff but personally id go with a 60 just cuz of aftermarket support. i frequent pirate and see very few people building a 10 bolt and even fewer selling parts for them

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Eh, I just found a set (SF 14-bolt rear and HD 10-bolt front) and though that it may be worth looking into. I thought some 10-bolts were dsd. not sure why I thought that.

Guess it's just as good, I feel like I would rather have full float anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you can find a ff 14 bolt for 100 or around there often. wait until you do because thats a good deal

also for a jeep a 78-79 dana 60 out of a ford with a plow package or a camper package is ideal

it has a longer driver side axle tube to mount coul buckets etc to, also its kingpins

but those are hard to come by i was searching religiously for about a month for mine

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

its not as easy as just tossong some one tons under a xj, you will need to brace the unibody or it will get destroyed very quickly, and as far as rear 60, like ross said in stock form there weak sause compared to the 70 or 14bt
Oh, missed this comment. I will be doing unibody stiffeners around the same time I run new axles, plus any additional bracing required.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i wouldnt waste my time looking for a 78 or 79 60, plus most peaple want a arm and a leg for them, just get a 80's kingpin 60, you can get em cheaper and they will work fine

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i got mine for 500 complete rotor to rotor

i didnt wanna have to weld crap to the center section cuz i wasnt planning on trussing it but now that im going air shocks it wouldnt have mattered

i got mine back when i was being budget minded

all ya gotta do is weld a lil bit of the coil bucket to the center thats it, rest can be welded to the tubes

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And Bill, if you reading this, I actually used the phone and called them and confirm my order. Unfortunatly, it wasnt Dan.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

meh, i guess 5.38s are deep enough  I could only find down to 5.13, then again I didn't look that hard (it was just bfore I was leaving work, so clearly my motivation was less on finding gears and more on packing my laptop up and getting the hell out of there)

hopefully nothing comes up tomorrow... hell yeah 4 day wkend.

Edit: All FF 14's the kinda diamond shape (with 10.5" ring gear) and the SFs the 9.5" ring gear with a more rounded housing, right?
