K1c1 (12:41:45 PM): in all honesty i wouldn't really mind parting out my xj and getting a plain jane TJ on 33s locked and selling my DD

 I would like to verify the authenticity of that statement.
i have now lost all respect for Travis
Rob, I'm with you 100%.

Jeeps and computers/tech are 2 hobbies that one person should not have at the same time, way too expensive.
Agreed, that's one of the reasons why I'm out of the computer thing. The main one was I didn't want to be a lame guy and sit inside all day. :D
I think the next step is installing the system in a PC case with a PC PSU. there goes another $60+
If you are getting a case and a PSU for $60 you aren't getting a good PSU. A good PSU (something that'll last for more than a year and won't take out everything with it) is going to run you at least that $60.

Jeff, I'm in Galway for the next few days then I go to Dublin.

Galway is a great time...I really enjoyed it much more than Dublin overall. That's where I actually got engaged...right by the bay...where my whole family then decided to jump in to celebrate.

I wish I could remember the name of the street with all the good pubs on it but there was one in particular with a big tree in it...awesome place! Hope you have a great time!!

-edit, I think it was High street...I'm sure you've been or you'll find it.

We stayed in Salthill.

I try and combine my indoor/outdoor time. Jeep gets me outdoors, computer is nice for evenings when I just want to relax after work or during bad weather when I may just stay inside anyway.

I agree that the PSU is probably absolute junk. I am buying it for the case (I have emailed the manufacturer to see if I can purchase the case w/o the PSU). Not only that, but for my application I need a 5V@1A rail and a [email protected] rail.

The PSU has one 5V@12A rail, one 12V@13A rail, and one 12V@5A rail (dual 12V rails)... So unless I can bridge the two 12V rails or determine what type of current load each of the internal 12V sources draws (and split it up accordingly)... it may not even work anyway.

Oh, and on that note, if I do end up getting this case/PSU I would probably just be using the PSU for proof of concept and upgrading to something decent once I determine that it is even do-able.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yes the power wagon is cool with its lockers and all that good stuff, but its gonna be sluggish towing your rig and no to mention all the extra money for the lockers and that crap wich is really useless on a tow rig

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

HOLY HELL. my friend with a H3 (its a promotional thing) has a busted rear driveshaft u joint, and he took it to the dealer to check it out with another few things. they wanted $500 damn bucks for replacing 2 joints on the driveshaft! looks like i'll be getting a little bit of work to make a few bucks this break!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I HATE THIS FU(KING COMPUTER AT WORK. I just typed a long ass response to the power wagon crap and the goddamn thing crashed. Anyway, short version:

Problem: Power wagon isn't available with CTD (and as of '09, also no manual trans available)

Solution: give it a CTD with manual trans (no cooler required, hence more room up front), regular swaybar disco's, and call it the MAN version. No MAN would be bothered by having to hop out of his badass truck to disconnect the swaybar.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
