Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yep zero deductible on glass, it's the one thing I like about my insurance

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have the same, no deductable on glass, for me its a $78 premium on my insurance so if I don't use glass I am out that much... but the last time I had the Jeep on the road I went through 3 windshields in a year... all highway driving. It paid for itself many times over

Oh... and
Me: 1
Xbox RRoD: 0
:D

Now I should never have the issue again. I can crack my case open whenver I want to clean the dust out. Plus it has arctic silver 5 instead of whatever crap thermal compound M$ used so cooling shouldnt be an issue. Not to mention the board physically cant warp anymore

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Saying its the rust or anything else is such a cop out. The windshield sealer they use will stick to anything so as long as its not loose and peeling, which you'd think they'd clean, it should stick. I had the rear gate window replaced in my 00' the summer and about an hour later my buddy goes out to check it out and comes back saying its broke. I seriously thought he wasnt bustin my balls but when I went out the whole thing was spiderwebbed. I called back and had to go back & forth a little with him about it sayin I did something. He(the mamager) then said fine I'll com out Mon. because everybodies alrady gone home because its Sat. He came out and found that the tech had forgot a small piece of glass in the gasket and as it sealed it cracked the new glass, which by thte way the top of curve is diff. then stop so the rear wiper doesn't work on it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

looking at another house out in Gardner tomorrow...

half acre of land, 1100sqft house, $40k. I so bet it failed title V.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Glad you didn't buy a TomTom. Mine has gotten me lost (or at least brought me in the wrong direction) every time I've used it, and it has even gotten me pulled over.

where the hell are you finding these houses for $40k?!? And for that price failing title V is almost fine... figure $15k to get a new septic put in and still keep it below $60k. I feel like my recent shopping in the $140k range is way off track.

So may I ask where you are looking for these? I would love to find something in that price range.

I need to move up there. Something like that would be absolutely rediculous here.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Insurance subject; Friend of mine accidently put a .243 round through his floorboard and INTO his engine block. Penetrated the engine block! He drove it home several miles with some quantity of smoke pouring out of it, then it died.

His auto "comprehensive" insurance paid to replace the engine, imagine that.

Hope his tranny doesn't start to go bad too! Of course, he does have a .30-06!

I've had three TomTom One 130s, the first got stolen, the second was defective and got replaced with the third under warranty which got stolen. I refuse to buy another one, they are cursed. Right now I use the GPS in my blackberry 8820, if it would just read the directions to me it would be perfect.

I am just searching for anything under 75k, I want nothing to do with anything that costs more than that. Bear in mind, all the places I have looked at are fixer uppers - the current one I have an accepted offer on (short sale, being a pain in the ass) needs a new roof, all new drywall, all new plumbing, a full heating system, several dumpsters worth of trash removed from the back yard, is 3 blocks from a crack house according to a friend of Bill's, AND needs a full bathroom and kitchen remodeling... as well as having a chimney knocked down and a new one built. The last one I put an offer in on needed all drywall, a furnace, both bathrooms remodeled, kitchen remodeled, all electrical, and slate roof repair as well as all the siding replaced and a porch roof.

It's not for everyone - I already have done roofing, drywalling, plumbing, electrical, framing, masonry, and assorted other home repair both for pay and for my parents, and I like building and fixing stuff, so I'm fine buying a project house that will essentially be gutted and rebuilt while I am living in it as long as it saves me 80+ thousand dollars on the upfront cost.

dont boil the gas in your tank or oil in yo axle

ask me how i know.

with a supa short muffler i was able to turn it down before the axle, but it always got mangled to hell down there, and was annoying as hell and droned like a bastid

but i'm weird

i like my jeep quiet

ok just readin all the post from the day cause im bored, anyhow, im havin the one a lil loud cuz its gonna be big and stupidly wide, i guess i gotta get everything back together to see how things sit(incase you havent seen my build thread the jeep is missing a trans and tcase) but the gas tank will be half way thogh the floor so it may open up room for a tailpipe of sorts we will see when time comes

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, I'm in the process of re-upholstering the visors and over head console in the B-wood. Should I try to reuse the original fabric, as its clean, and it has that orange warning label thingy? Or should I just use the fabric that I bought at the fabric store, as I'm sure it will be easier.

I HATE this damn disintegrated foam.

See, I would be fine with a lot of work... but I think I would want heat and maybe electrical to be OK-ish. A few of the houses I looked at (one I really wanted but it was a bit steep) needed quite a bit of work. This one place had burst water pipes and needed floors replaced, some plumbing, probably some electrical, roof within a few years, and siding needed some work. But it was an awesome house on something like 1.5 acres, so I guess I can see why the price was steep. I should really go look at the other one. It actually doesnt need much work other than that it doesnt pass title V so needs septic. Price is much higher than I wanted to spend, but it has been on the market for over a year now and has already dropped over 80k (and hasn't dropped in almost 6 months so they may be ready to drop again). Maybe I will go talk to them and say "I am only approved at $140, but can borrow $15k from the father to do septic if you will accept the $140. Real nice stone house on a good chunk of land (on a hill so no water issues) with 1 car garage and a screened in porch with inside BBQ/fire pit.
