Grats. It really is a convenience. I keep it in my laptop bag that I use for work. Worked great when I had to find out where the hell you lived *****BREAKING NEWS**********BREAKING NEWS**********BREAKING NEWS*****
For those of you who know me this is big, I finally bought a Garmin. That is all.

I've had three TomTom One 130s, the first got stolen, the second was defective and got replaced with the third under warranty which got stolen. I refuse to buy another one, they are cursed. Right now I use the GPS in my blackberry 8820, if it would just read the directions to me it would be perfect.Glad you didn't buy a TomTom. Mine has gotten me lost (or at least brought me in the wrong direction) every time I've used it, and it has even gotten me pulled over.
I am just searching for anything under 75k, I want nothing to do with anything that costs more than that. Bear in mind, all the places I have looked at are fixer uppers - the current one I have an accepted offer on (short sale, being a pain in the ass) needs a new roof, all new drywall, all new plumbing, a full heating system, several dumpsters worth of trash removed from the back yard, is 3 blocks from a crack house according to a friend of Bill's, AND needs a full bathroom and kitchen remodeling... as well as having a chimney knocked down and a new one built. The last one I put an offer in on needed all drywall, a furnace, both bathrooms remodeled, kitchen remodeled, all electrical, and slate roof repair as well as all the siding replaced and a porch roof.where the hell are you finding these houses for $40k?!? And for that price failing title V is almost fine... figure $15k to get a new septic put in and still keep it below $60k. I feel like my recent shopping in the $140k range is way off track.
So may I ask where you are looking for these? I would love to find something in that price range.
Just got the email notification of a new post. Checking nowHehe... I'm still giggling with excitement. Check my thread for the reason.![]()
dont boil the gas in your tank or oil in yo axle

but i'm weird
i like my jeep quiet
See, I would be fine with a lot of work... but I think I would want heat and maybe electrical to be OK-ish. A few of the houses I looked at (one I really wanted but it was a bit steep) needed quite a bit of work. This one place had burst water pipes and needed floors replaced, some plumbing, probably some electrical, roof within a few years, and siding needed some work. But it was an awesome house on something like 1.5 acres, so I guess I can see why the price was steep. I should really go look at the other one. It actually doesnt need much work other than that it doesnt pass title V so needs septic. Price is much higher than I wanted to spend, but it has been on the market for over a year now and has already dropped over 80k (and hasn't dropped in almost 6 months so they may be ready to drop again). Maybe I will go talk to them and say "I am only approved at $140, but can borrow $15k from the father to do septic if you will accept the $140. Real nice stone house on a good chunk of land (on a hill so no water issues) with 1 car garage and a screened in porch with inside BBQ/fire pit.I've had three TomTom One 130s, the first got stolen, the second was defective and got replaced with the third under warranty which got stolen. It's not for everyone - I already have done roofing, drywalling, plumbing, electrical, framing, masonry, and assorted other home repair both for pay and for my parents, and I like building and fixing stuff, so I'm fine buying a project house that will essentially be gutted and rebuilt while I am living in it as long as it saves me 80+ thousand dollars on the upfront cost.
