THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm not.
What I am scared of is the price tag on those puppies, and the fact that one of those tires will weigh more than me. No lie, my 33's with rims are almost as much as me. I am also scared if I ever get a flat tire, cause there is no way in hell I'll be able to lift one of those tires.

the tires are 94 pounds each.. add maybe ~ 30 pounds for a cheap steelie (soft 8s as an example) so yeah... that sucker will be HEAVY, about 120 pounds when its all said and done. better get to the gym!

http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires/Toyo-Open-Country.htm.... the 33s are 75 pounds each so not a huge difference from 33s to 37s

15x10 is heavier than your average 15x8.

1 of my tires and rims currently weighs 115 lbs, so I'm pretty sure that the 37x14.5's will weigh a good deal more than that.

It's not that big of a deal, i've swapped 38s on and off my old truck plenty of times.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah it's definitely doable, just not that fun. I remember mounting 1 or 2 of yours with you.

Ditto, I had 42 by yesterday. Today is 4 hours of work then 5 hours of class :(

for what its worth a 33" tire and 37" tire both suck about equally to get on a jeep for me.

either takes 2 people or i need the jeep at just above ground height and i gotta sit on the ground to lift it up

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can lift 220+... depends on the angle though. I suspect that kind of angle would suck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I dont know how many will appreciate this but I find it sad that this restored 77 F250 is going to waste as storage.

Hell at least give me the bed I could use it on my 78.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

are you guys seriously complaining about picking up tires/rims and putting them on?

this question was jsut asked by the umass car show tire throwing champion

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

bump, that makes me sad too. theres a 78 f350 next town over that the guy bought brand new and all its ever done was sit in his driveway and plow it for the first couple of years of its life. now it jsut hangs out there. hell, its never even been registered, it was bought jsut to be a yard truck and it never did anything. i bet it has no more then 1000 miles on it.

ps- thanks for the tires again:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think this is what I want for a tow rig. Except I want the super crew or whatever cab has 4 full doors, and probably 4x4. And I want it in black.

I found exactly what I wanted for an amazing price back in '03/'04 time-frame (except it may have been an early 90s rather than 96, that doesn't matter to me).. Sadly I was a Sr. in HS then and my parents thought that was a retarded and pointless vehicle for me to have, thus now allowing me to purchase it. I still drive past the house where it was for sale and remember it. It was awesome.

Edit, maybe I even want an older version so it had the older style interior... ooooh, perfect :D F350 tow truckhttp://www.cars.com/go/search/detai...kId=20015&rpp=50&feedSegId=28705&aff=nationalhttp://www.cars.com/go/search/detai...kId=20015&rpp=50&feedSegId=28705&aff=national

Let's NOT start the transmission debates again.
However, they both would be 7.3L so I don't see your point on one being better or worse than the other. Granted the '96 would have a turbo and more electronics, but it is still the 7.3L.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i just got back from the gym.. ill put all your tires on :moon:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How about this one

As much as I want the older body style I would love the 6-speed. I could deal with the newer body style and not super huge size cab. haha.

Edit: Unless of course the ford 6 speeds suck in these things. Then I could deal with auto.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i love the 7.3 for pulling power but it doesnt go anywhere very fast...it will keep speed very well though

i thought once ford got rid of the 6.9 they replaced it with the 7.3 all of which had turbos?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
