THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The mag stripe on it barely works so I'm gonna pull a few hundred for day to day expenses/gas and call to cancel my card and get a new one issued later today I guess :dunno:

What bank do you have? Stop in to a branch and explain the situation. I have a card with a shot magnetic strip (now my 2nd card like this)... I just go to a local bank branch and ask for a temporary card and for them to send a new card to me.

They then request a new card (takes 1-2 weeks to get to me) and they tie a new temp card to my account that automatically expires in 1 month. That way I don't have a period of time w/o a card.

Just a thought

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the night before thanksgiving has to be one of the best nights to go out drinking.
Not sure I have been out the night before thanksgiving. I went out on x-mas eve... x-mas day... new years eve... new years day... (being in VA alone for xmas season last year kinda sucked, but the bar was great). Everyone at the bar was in the same situation I was (no family in the area, no one around really) but they were an awesome crowd.

Maybe I will have to try a local bar on the night before thanksgiving. Just gotta find a good one :D

it's good to go out the night before thanksgiving if you go home for it because no one has work the next day, and everyone is home visiting family so you see everyone you've ever known. this could be a good or a bad thing

DCU - good plan, I wonder if they do that with the temp cards.

My town used to be like that (and still is sometimes)... but lately they have been putting more and more **** in.

Funny thing: We had walmart for years which f***ed with out traffic, got real bad from time to time.
I wouldn't live in a town that even had enough people to warrant a WalMart. I can literally take dirt roads to get to work if I wanted, I like that.
i have to drive retards starting at 8 am on thanksgiving
What for?
free shipping on them. i just calllllledddddd
Sweet then. What are your tire/wheel/diff cover/steering/everything else plans?

That's pretty near how my town was when we moved here.. had one main road, then some smaller ones.. The town build up after we got there and my parents built their 'dream house' so they don't wnat to move out. Still sounds bigger than your town, oh well.

When we moved here there were around 6500 people in town, now around 8000 or so. (I think, last census data is from 2000). When we moved here the local grocery was family owned, had a local farm stand, the "movie stop"; it was great.

Now they put the walmart in back sometime in the late late 90's or early 00's in place of our farm stand. Blockbuster took over where the movie stop was. dunkin doughnuts took over for sunrise doughnuts. :( I miss the good places.

Then stop and shop came in and build right next to walmart. Walmart saw them making money with groceries and remodeled into a super center. So I think the best way to describe our super center is a grocery store with an electronics dept, some motor oil, some toys, maybe some sports stuff, and a pharmacy. I went there to get some screws and couldnt get them. Tried to get some angle grinder cut off wheels... no luck. nothing anyone could possibly want is there anymore. I have given up hope. I just make the drive to another store or support a local shop

Yup, rural areas becoming suburbia. :(

I just looked it up, the town I live in in MA has 6,907people as of the last census. The town my place in VT is has 895 people and one paved road. Now if could find a decent job up there I'd be in heaven.

does this mean you have no free time on thursday? thanksgiving wouldn't be thanksgiving without getting your jeep stuck in some precarious position

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What as the last census you refer to? That the 2000 census?

The population of 8000 I refer to is based on my towns website (if you can even call it a "website"). I assume that is a current guesstimate.

In the 2000 census we were at 7500 even (which is around when we got our walmart).. So clearly my town isn't much bigger than yours. I think were were just the unlucky 'central location' to many other towns that use our store.

And yes, my town has become a suburbian hell. There are still the back roads that I frequently drive that are nice... but overall it is becoming too developed. The VT town sounds great. My buddies father has a place up in VT... I would move there as well if there was work.

dad jsut crashed his truck so it looks like we got ourselves a new project. either a brakeline or the abs pump decided to go bye-bye and he managed to rear end a toyota and break it in half. from a quick look at it before it got towed away it needs pretty much a whole new nose and stuff. the front frame horns look OK. pics to come later tonight
