Mine just say to mount "this side out"

The tread is bidirectional. Looking at the tread the pattern is always angled forward on my pass side and toward the back on my driver side.

I know Goodyear came out later and removed the "this side out" on the tires and claimed they could be mounted either way. I also believe the newer Kevlars do not have the white wall side as the first gen Kevlars do.

When I had mine mounted with "this side out" it was the white wall side that was out.

As long as they are all mounted on the rims the same way then it does not matter what corner they sit on.

I love the Kevlar's (see also massive lugs) and would consider them for replacements for my KM2's when the time is due. I'd prefer to run them with black out, so that change is a good one.

On the side wall "tread pattern," the triangular curved arrow points forward on two of his wheels, and the fat part is pointed forward on the other two. I don't know if it matters, but I like symmetry. Anything else is simply disconcerting.

No offense taken, Jon, and I appreciate the posts on the FB. Half the time I post crazy crap about my man boobs after a few glasses of Maker's Mark, so I'm totally with ya :). By the way, what kind of rum was it? Anything good?

Party at Jon's house!

Mai Tai's make my brother purchase musical instruments and not realize it until in the morning when he doesn't believe he bought a guitar! :D

I must say that everytime I see your name on a thread I can't wait to read it because I think you make me laugh 80% of the time

Yeah that sounds a little gay but whatever I don't care.

Only 80%?

Most people have learned to laugh at me at least 98% of the time, the last 2% they just feel deep sorrow. :o

Hurtful. True, but hurtful. :kissyou:

No!

You no feel no hurt!

You feel the funny!

Feel the funny!

I'll try to make 2011 a year full of tech on the FB. 2010 was my build-up year, so next year I will do my best to post tech updates on all the crap that breaks. I'll start with fixing the new popping noise from the driver's side control arms.

Speaking of broken crap, I lost my cruise control and horn (again) on the way to work this morning. Still no airbag, but a month ago my cruise and horn began working again. Seems to come and go, like Letterman's humor. Time to tweak the dash connections again.

.....
ive seen short armed xjs on 33s do alot ...locked front and rear.

my 33s were like maybe 32s and my 35s would be lucky to be called 34s (pro comp xtreme terrains, love them)

Ok well i already bought the Long Arms, so short arms are out of the question. Plus for the wheeling i do, i think my Long Arms are going to ber prefect. I thought about getting drop brackets for my short arms, but i have bushings on both ends. So i went with some RC LA's.. I have also been considering this. Getting tires that are 35's, but arent true 35's. So if i got 35 inch KM2's. maybe they will be 34's. im ok with running 34's.

I also have the pro comp xtreme MUD terrains and i LOVE them!! They have been great in everything iv put them through. But mine measured up to be 31.5's.. anyway.. Right now i am just stuck on my tire situation. I keep reading reviews and its neck and neck between the KM2's and MTR's. KM2's are barely ahead, because i saw a JK on 40's (MTR's) cut a huge hole in his sidewall (i could stick my fist in it easily(<<somebody is gonna make that into a dirty quote)).. now that i think about it.. 35" KM2's would be SWEET!!!! decisions decisions

Take it with a grain of salt but I have seen more KM2s with holes in the sidewall than MTRs. Both seem to be a great tire.

Agreed. KM2's and MTR's both rock.

I am very happy with my Km2's, I will be rockin a new set of MTR's come
late spring.

Yes they do

why are you switching over? What size km2s do you have??? Wanna make an early switch hehehe

I am running 35's on my rig now. I have been wanting to try the MTR's
for some time now, My tires have lots of life left i just want to try a
set of MTS's.
