Ted goes off the deep end.

You guys are pointing blame the wrong direction. Politicians BS because... IT WORKS! True story.

If people (read, VOTERS) put their foot down and stopped supporting the BS'ers, then they would stop the BS. Stop reelecting them and stop voting for "the lesser of two evils." Once the politicians realize that the voters want someone that they can trust, they'll become more trustworthy. But no, the "dumb masses" keep voting based on things like "hope" and "change" and how attractive they are or how attractive their spouse is and who they'd like to have a beer with :soapbox:

A good start IMO would be term limits. No career politicians. More grass-roots people elected to serve. And get big money OUT of elections. The SC made a serious error in passing unlimited corporate money (citizens united?) to political parties. This insures normal people have less voice in elections.
Here in MN, we had Jesse the Body as our governor. He wasn't so bad, but the congress did nothing but obstruct him getting anything done. Sound familiar? It should, as the repubs in congress have as their main mission to obstruct everything the Pres. wants to do, then they can label him a do nothing Pres. How sad.

Faux news is NOT critical thinking:roflmao:

Predictable........:wierd:

I watch less than 30 min of TV a week and I dont subscribe to Fox News channel. Sorry to not fit your stereotype.

I prefer www.drudgereport.com and www.breitbart.com.......and then I do more research on the info presented to form my own opinions.

I'm cautiously optomistic that the economic events of the past 5 years have caused a greater number of American voters to actually invest in gaining a better knowledge and understanding of the political system and are taking a more active role in the political process.

You can't fix stupid, Jeff.

I've lost all hope in humanity. The people in this country are no longer free thinking, hard working individualists. They want free hand outs, free Heath care, more welfare and more government control in their lives.

As long as this country continues down the path of laziness we will continue to have presidents like Obama.

I am more optimistic also. If this is the case, it will insure that Obama gets re-elected, and repubs. in congress will get the thrashing they deserve.:star:

More food for Thought.

JON VOIGHT probably just ended his career.
Liberals are certainly not going to like what he has to say.

To be fair, Nader is the only person to run in decades that has dedicated their life to help the public

Which is why he'd never get elected
