how would i found out what route you guys took so i could go run it once my rig is at a stage i can take it out?

now you know why everyone in the desert hates silt beds with a passion haha. nice shots, glad it sounds like you're going to put the rig back out there.

WheelinJR: Those stills,.. were they shot somewhere around MM12-15? That background looks kind of familiar,..

Sorry dude, you can't. A lot of the course is closed to the public except during the race. You would not believe the hoops BITD has to jump through to stage that race every year,..

Edit: what you could do, is register for the prerun, and do it that way. Wouldn't require a full race-prep rig

You can also go out to Barstow, Lucerne, or Plaster City and run those courses on off days if you'd like. Most sanctioning bodies have the race maps and GPS files on their sites. Be careful out there if you're going to go play, it's a LOT tougher than it looks.

Wow i would have thought all that was blm land open to the public. I have been going out to central nevada ever since i was little with my dad just to go mess around, out of austin, nv. And every rode out there is open to go on. Interesting that thats how it is but i could see why. I did do some searching and there is maps of the route they take.

Big chunk of the VtoR is run through the Air Force range up there. Other sections are through private or otherwise closed access areas.

o ok thanks for the explanation.
