Tahoe Peeps: How's The Smoke?

So, the wife and I were hoping to spend a couple days up in Tahoe but we have been postponing the trip on account of the smoke from the rim fire filling the Tahoe basin. We heard they made progress on the fire recently but I was hoping to get a first hand report... Anybody live there or been in the area recently?

I can't say about Tahoe specifically but the rubicon last weekend was clear until Sunday afternoon when the smoke slowly rolled in with a little storm.

I doubt that helped but I figure I'd share lol

It really depends. some days we have good days, and then some days its worse. so it seems to be a hit or miss. its been alot better than it was though. you couldn't even see across reno from my dorm room pretty much a while ago.

On Saturday you couldn't see across the lake. On Sunday it was much clearer. Probably just depends on the day.
