Sylvania 3157AST discontinued? Where to buy?

Guys,
Sylvania used to make silver coloured bulbs which can be used in clear side markers and they were flashing amber. They were called Silverstar 3157AST.

They seem to be discontinued. Only "O´Donnel Autoparts" is selling them at Ebay for 40 bucks a pair - quite steep for a set of signal bulbs, right?

Are they avaible cheaper anywhere? Or is there a compatible product you guys are using in your clear corner lights in your facelift XJ? Please point in me in that direction, I´d like to avoid some cheap chinese LED crap.

Amber bulbs and silver paint. Blast the tippy top with just enough paint to cover it.

I did a quick Google for just 'Sylvania 3157AST', and found a few places with them in the $20 range. That's still not great, but Silverstars in non-headlamp applications have always been a little pricey.

Don't knock the LED idea just yet - it's only a question of getting the right ones.

here's one source, google around to see if you can find them cheaper. I've used this brand (invisilight) before they shine pretty well.
