SYE installation help

hey guys I need help doing this. bought my np231 sye from JB and it has plenty of instructions. I feel like I can do it with some help

this thing HAS GOT to go in by sunday 8/12

anyone in the area want to come help me wrench? got the autobody shop full of air tools at my disposal. PM me if you can help and we'll talk about compensation if need be. thanks

What kind Of sye? Hack in tap? Or with a replacement shaft?
Hack in tap: pull drive shaft and tail cone housing. Measure amount to be cut off. Put tape around shaft and draw a line where you need to cut. Use what ever you have that will allow it to be a straight cut. Clean up with a flap disc and chamfer the edges. Use a center punch to mark the center of the shaft. Drill a small hole in it. Then move on up to size needed.place the tap in the hole. Hold it straight with the shaft. Use your wrench to slowly thread it down the hole. Use a light oil or a cutting oil on the threads. Every so often back out and clean out the debris. When done, thread bolt in and make sure it threads In properly. It you don't get the hole centered Perfectly , don't sweat it too much. Just realize that's not right.

With full Sye it requires you pull the tcase. Split the case. And follow the directions. Snap ring pliers, a punch, flat head screwdriver, will be needed to dissemble the main shaft. Follow directions step by step and you can't go wrong. If you can use a wrench you can do a full sye

No it's a full SYE from JB conversions. I know all the steps and I've read and re read the instructions
I'm just afraid to start it because if I get stuck I'm ass out. I think I've got someone to come help me Sunday night. If not I'll get back to you guys during the week

its not too bad. use good snap ring pliers, not some cheap shit ones. take your time, and pay attention, take pics on your phone if need be, label things, it goes pretty quick once you pull the tcase off. im assuming the tcase is allready pulled off correct?

nah. I havent dropped it yet. the engine isnt even running. I've got a long way to go and this jeep has to drive me to class on 8/21...
I'm gonna hammer down on the front end today and tomorrow. then try to tackle the SYE on sunday. I dont think it will be too difficult. but an experienced hand will speed up the process. it's push time gotta get it done
