Ok well on my Xj i just lost my 5 speed tranny on Freeway Ridge here in Kern County. We were basicly at the top of the mountain when it went out and i had to be strapped all the way down the trail. The first guy strapping me broke a u joint on his JK. So i got strapped by someone else the rest of the way. It wasnt a great trip. One guy got a branch through his windshield on his yj, Jk broke a u joint/ axle, my trans, and a Jk and Tj both has issues with there idiot lights flashing.

So anyways has anyone done the swap to an auto from the 5 speed? What all is involved, and what all is needed?

Year, engine? Parts you will need (probably need to add to the list).. trans/torque converter (obviously, haha.), flexplate, cooler lines, trans cooler, TCU, shifter, linkage, front driveshaft ( I believe it is a different length).

Ya i figured most of that except the TCU... What is that? Also i needed to move my jeep and figured i would try to see if i can drive it lol. Well if i leave it in neutral and start off like it is in 2nd gear i can drive it, Cant shift it but can at least drive it around the yard lol.... What could this be

Sounds like your slave cyl took a crap on you. Swapping out a clutch and slave cyl combo will be much easier than swapping in an AW4. Considering I swapped out my AW4 I would suggest sticking with the manual and spending your money on lower t-case or axle gears.
