Will I need a longer driveshaft? Anyone know the pinon lengths on both axles?

If anything you'll need a shorter driveshaft. If I recall the pinion is 1" longer in the 8.25 than the D35.
However... Are you lifted? That'll give you a bit more room to work with. Also I put an 8.25 into my Chief (replaced a D35, Chief has a BA/10 and 231) and seem to have no problems. The Chief is stock.

Thanks alot! thats the answer i was looking for...I'm sitting at 6" and my driveshaft is extended further than i would like right now.
