superwinch

i wish i had found one that cheap... now i've already spent 300 on this one, though. maybe i can sell it and find a warn for the cheap. my question was about how to adress this issue to the fine people at superwinch. i wonder if the guy i talked to even knows what they sent me....

Well, Im just saying keep your eyes and ears open b/c they are out there from time to time, you just gotta look.

so, on further inspection, this looks like they sent me factory rejects that got f'd up in transit or something. the small ground wire is frayed, and one of the wires is frayed and has been spliced with just black electrical tape. should i call and raise some hell, or should i just be glad i got what i did, and try to make the winch work with what i have?

Call them up and raise hell, they should have sent you new parts not junk.

what do u guys think about the xrc8 winches?

A buddy of mine used one as a rear winch on a buggy for suck-down and recovery duty. I was super impressed with the quality for the money and it had some serious balls to it for that class of winch. It got sold after a year so I can't say much about the longevity...
I will say it would be at the top of my shopping list if I were in the market for a winch in any price range!
