My comanche will finally be pulled into the garage next weekend to begin my engine swap. I will be pulling the sad little 4 banger/4 speed manny out and replacing it with a 84' stang 5.0 and a borg and warner t-19 4 speed. Any suggestions on things to watch out for? here's some questions Ive been pondering,
will an aftermarket aluminum radiator and dual fans keep the ponycar motor cool enough?
is it gonna fit between the inner fenders?
is that giant t-19 gonna smack my firewall/trans hump?
how much reinforcement am I going to have to do the framerails?
is the "powerjection" EFI really worth the arm and a leg they want?
what the f*&@ am I going to do about motor mounts?
All of your input is appreciated...unless of course your a Chevy boy and you plan on relentlesly calling me a turd for putting a 5.0 (five-slow real funny) in a jeep. But if you do have a realistic comment on my motor of choice, please, Id be happy to hear it. Anywho, what do you guys think? Help me brainstorm here, and maybe I can solve some possible problems before they arise. I appreciate it!
