My leafs are sagging and it's time to get new rear leafs. Anyone here running the new Rusty's Leafs? I'm sure everyone is gonna say RE but honestly they don't have the best customer service and I think their leafs are overpriced...

Open to Suggestions and if any local vendors are worth going too.

3.5" Leafs btw

Well if you are looking for good customer service then cRusty's isn't the place to buy them either. Check out Big Off Road, the guy who owns them is a member here. I run the BOR 6" leafs and they don't flex very well. I remember seeing somewhere that they have a new style leaf that flexes better now. Might want to check them out.

I would suggest buying from a NAXJA sponsor, the whole list is here:

If you want to actually buy leaf springs I suggest spending the money to get good ones. Deaver springs are very good and the BOR springs may be as well.
That being said, if this is just a temporary measure(for a year or two) I'd assemble some out of random leafs to get the height you're looking for and don't be afraid to use up to a 1/2" block and go to longer shackles to dial it in. When I was running those laminated steel things I had an 8 leaf pack consisting of an XJ main leaf, a Chevy leaf, a Dodge overload, and a bunch of other random ones.

Check out the vendor forum, there are some really good deals on susp. parts right now.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I have checked out Deaver and they want a way to much for what I want to spend. I understand that buying cheap leafs will only sag after a while but their can really only be a few manufactures that actually make the springs. Right? Please feel free to school me

Well my budget isn't huge I'm trying to put myself through college to become a firefighter and being a photographer doesn't help either. LOL
Anyways enough of my complaining is anyone using Rough Country Leafs?

I run RE leafs, but they're 2 years old, before the change to the india made ones.

They're nice, but one of them has 2 leafs that are fanning outward.

if i were to do leaves now id shoot for 4-4.5" by adding a mj main, second, leaves (longer main right?) to a stock pack with eyes cut off with mj shackles(or some cheapo aftermarket lift shackles) . then id see where it settles. then maybe 1/2" blocks or another leaf or two here or there to bring it up to desired height.

im running some very old rustys 3.5" packs that had sagged to about 3-3.25" so i added a second stock leaf (right below main leaf) added and a last stock leaf (smallest stock leaf) and some mj shackles which brought the rear back up and firmed it up as well. i really like the ride this way since its firmer than before, higher than before, and still flexes as much as it can for a the given setup. and the mj shackles were 10$ at junkyard and stock packs were free.

I would look into some Old Man Emu springs, they are a bit more expensive then the RE ones but they are a very good spring. As for the rough country springs there are many people running them, most will say good things and some will say bad, kinda like the RE springs.

Bastard pack FTW!

Yeah I think I am just gonna throw in a 1/2ton or something of that size Main Bottom leaf and look for some MJ shackles... I would rather put good money into building my D44 Front.

I think the Chy 8.25 locked and D44 Front with highsteer should be overkill for 31's and then when I finally get to 33's should be a sweet setup.
