400hp?

What pistons?
What rods?
What comp ratio
What head?

400 HP with what intake, injectors, exhaust and tune? Interested.......of course. Will it smog? :)

I'm gonna go on a limb here, but you're not going to get 400hp out of a sub 300 inch motor without revving it to the moon or adding psi or nitrous. Are you saying the bottom end can handle that amount or what?

100hp per liter is not an impossible goal.

Not at all, but a Very expensive one, and not very reliable one, typically when speaking of a Jeep 4.0 based build.

My 2.4L Neon (ok srt4 but still just a neon) was at 452HP and 402Tq (front wheel dyno). But I would never had wanted that setup in my jeep.

We're not far from that on the team naxja car.. but the motor is cost prohibitive to build and not streetable (also would never pass smog).

longevity is a concern, but only time will tell on that. i can tell you that we are pushing the limits of the hardware.

I'm very interested in specs as is Goatman, we need to replace the engine in his buggy - depending whats there, it may be more cost effective than rebuilding what he has - but given the claimed power, we will need extreme details.

Enlighten me then....what more do I need to know about a 4.0 based motor making 400hp? I've built a few motors in my time and am well aware of what it takes to make that kind of power....and the 4.0 just doesn't have the goods to accomplish that goal NA with any reliability.

Kind of why I DID ask a question....is that just a number representing what that lower end can handle?

careful, or he'll bitch about pictures of attractive women again.

i'd like to hear the build list and the asking price.
