A little more info as there are two types of plugs, Did you strip/round out the 10mm allen socket in the later model cases .
Or the threads in the case ,with the big bolt type head plug ??
ASSuming it's the hex head thats stripped... go get a pair of vice grips with the sharp teeth, and get it to bite real tight, then hit the vice grips with a mallet.
The easiest way (assuming it's the hex that's stripped) is to get a chisel that is slightly larger and pound it in the hex -point to point. Then use pliers or a wrench to turn the chisel. Works every time, just get a new plug before you do it so you can replace it.
ive gotten to the point where i dont bother with open end wrench's anymore, whoever thought aluminum plugs for transfer cases/transmissions was a good idea should be shot.
dont bother replacing it, just dont torque it down so tight. it's just a drain/fill plug. =)
