Steering upgrade ?'s

I am looking for some input on steering set ups. I currently have a RE tie rod that has served me well, but this past weekend I bent my second drag link in less then a month. I am seeing where the "heavyduty" tie rod is holding up is part of the deal, but the stock drag links are not doing so well, they keep bending at teh threads/adjuster. I have looked at the Currie and JCR units, both look heavyduty, but I have read the Currie'sdown fall is replacing the one end. JCR's looks good, but I'd have to buy the reamer for another $75 and that is pushing the price on up there. I talked to Rusty's and they are pushing their OTK set up. Does anyone have any other suggestions or companies they would refer me to? I am wanting to get this resolved before WF. I have read some posts on this "Omnix" or something like that, but everything I have read says it is back ordered and it is a medium duty set up. I am not opposed to it, just curious if any of you guys had first hand experience w/ it. I thought I saw a few MWC guys on the link that they were discussing it. This is still a street legal rig, so I need it to still be somewhat road worthy for the times we drive to the trails (mostly trailer queen though). I am currently at 6.5" w/ 33's, but looking in the future of possibly going to 7.5" w/ 34's or 35's. thanks in advance for any input.

Only thing I can add is that JCR's stuff is top notch and worth the $. You can get the reamer cheaper straight from Snap-On (the link is in the JCR page) or possibly have a local machine shop ream it out for you. I'd check around with local shops and see what they would charge to ream it out; if they have the correct reamer they could probably turn it out in no time. That would also save you from buying a $$ tool you would only use once.

DONT BUY RUSTYS!!! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!! i have their otk setup, i had to modified the crap out of it to fit my axle and all i got from rustys was a bunch of BULLSHIT. id just buy some dom and some tube inserts and make it myself.

this thread actually belongs in the Modified Tech.... :)

I run JCR and like it. There is a thread or sticky that I think DJ put together with all possible steering setups, pros, cons, etc

Im going to go with JCRs OTK setup really soon and they give you the link right there, the reamer is only like $40 from Snap-on They charge so much more cause the have to have it drop shipped to you (take up there time) so there you go just saved $35 bucks.

I have JCR's steering upgrade.
I AM a satisfied customer

Nope.

He is asking for MWC members experiences.

Thats correct, I wanted to ask the MWC guys their opinions since these guys wheel mainly the same terrain that I do. I know alot of the "rock crawlers" are going to have their favorites as well as the mud bogger have theirs, etc. I was wanting the MWC's opinions and suggestions. Thanks.
