its a 1988 4 cyl renix .
it will start sometimes and act fine.
other times it wont start. when it doesnt start , if i hit the brakes the fuel gauge will go all the way to the full and past that, and the rear defroster light comes on, and this relay in the dash, big and silver, directly to the right of the steering wheel with the dash pulled off, makes a noise like that relay/fuse/solenoid is turning on too. basically sometimes it will start and run fine, and sometimes it does that wierd stuff and will turn over and wont start.
also , when i unplug the ecu, it does the same as the above. my guess is that the ecu is probably shot, i cleaned all grounds, checked a ton of wires. there is nothing i do other than wiggle the hell out of the wiring going into the ecu to get it to start.
my guess, ecu is shot, maybe a board in there is cracked or something???
