Each day as I'm on my way to the L-station to get to work I walk past a blue XJ that has obviously been worked on. Finally met and briefly chatted with the owner.

There are three other XJs in the hood with a decent amount of mods to them. Maybe a sub-chapter of the chapter is in order...

Only if you call it the cave diver sub chapter
DONE!
How you been?
living. re-newed yesterday and registered for WF. You doing OK?
We went to Goose Island last month, thought about you, but that was as far as it went.
Haven't been there in a long time. Revolution is around the corner from where I live and I like Metropolitan and Half-acre. Half-acre recently opened a tap-room. Maybe that is what I'll bring for the potluck. hmmmmm

I've resisted posting photos of other people's Jeeps, figured that is bad form... But there are so many interesting XJs in my neighborhood that I just have to share. This one shows ingenuity with the modifications, aiming for what can be easily surmised for utilitarian purposes relating to metal recovery and recycling. Alterations (intentional or not) cover areas of the body, suspension and uni-frame. Not sure of the color scheme, possibly a winter variation of urban camouflage. I did not see a NAXJA sticker so I hope the owner will not be too upset should he stumble on this page, for taking a quick photo .

Pretty sure if that metal cage wasn't secured on top, that thing would fold like a taco...
