Ok, URF Racing has my D44 now and is going to be putting it together for me. Among other things (click the sig!) I need a carrier. I'm leaning towards a spool, but I have two questions that are kinda related. This is for a longbed MJ, 120" wheelbase.
1. How does wheelbase affect turning with a spool? The spool (or a locked Detroit, or a locked ARB, whatever) will push in turns, and make the turning radius increase, right? Since I've got ~19" more wheelbase than an XJ, will I have less "push" in turns? Since my turning radius is already larger, is there less of a difference?
2. There's not a lot of weight in the back, compared to an XJ. What will this mean? Less wear on the tires, because there's not as much weight on them? Anything else?
