Source for RENIX Intake Air Temperature Sensor?

Ok, so I've tried pretty much everywhere I can think of to find an Air Intake Temp sensor for my '89 XJ, and everyone is telling me that it's NLA/discontinued/they can't get one. I have tried the dealer, NAPA, and three other local auto parts chains. It's not a rare or obscure part, but nobody can seem to find one. Does anyone know where the heck I can get one of these things?

strange, My local parts store even had it in stock $63.00

update:had it in stock, nla, none in stock, warehouse out of stock, looks like the stream dried up

most all of the renix sensors were standard GM fare.
Find a GM sender that shares the single post configuration and has the right ohm range for the temps and you'll be all set.

Once you've done that, post back with the PN, in case I ever have to change mine ;)

Autozone had them in stock when I bought mine last year. About $25 as I recall.

Damm parts are big money in you town!

Got mine at RockAuto $20.00 or so

Last time I needed one, I got it (and a batch of other spares, while I was about it) from Marren Fuel Injection online. I needed to reterminate the leads to it, so I just cut the leads off of the old unit and put the new plug (provided with the sensor) on it to make an adapter. Problem solved. It was also cheaper than any dealer, or most of the locals, as well.

I think Marren is as www.injector.com, but a quick Googling should turn them up handily. Nearly all the RENIX sensors are standard GM goodies, and most of them even use the same termination for the harness (the MAP is a standard GM part, as is the ECT, the IAC, ...)

I suspect it it is getting close to time for us to make up an alternate GM parts list for renix parts. The IAT's are no where to be found now.
