Some people just have the worst luck... i.e., me.

also, did you K.O. that deer? im a city boy, but that doesnt look like you were going very fast....
did it die fast? or it just taking a nap?

I can assure you, the deer made a speedy exit. I was doing around 45 when I hit it. Jeep held up quite well actually...the header panel and radiator seemed to absorb all the blow.

get a beefy bumper on the xj! then there are no deer problems :D i took one with my protofab... no biggie. your luck does blow as of late. insurance?

My ARB ripped up a Mercury Sable bumper last week. I think it could handle a deer pretty well! :D

Damn, that really blows, all at once. Looks to me like the hood wasn't touched though? I hope not. Header panel - you can get that at the junkyard these days nice and clean, even prepainted with factory paint in your color sometimes, for like 50 bucks...

I have no idea where to get parts for the Chevelle though.

Hope you sort things out with the woman, either way, whatever makes you happier.

And who cares, they're only cars.

Blasphemy!!!!!! Douse him with holy water and burn him at the stake!

Oh yeah, "she" is my fiance. She's been avoiding me since the incident.

I'm sure she feels pretty crappy about what happened to the Chevelle. Hopefully she'll give ya several "steak and a bj" coupons to make up for it.........

:D

If an ARB did that to a Sable, just think what a JCR Offroad bumper would have done to it!:D Wow!

No just the bulbousness of an ARB bumper.

My friend Mark (Begster) has one that he is in the middle of cutting it up to battle the huge decrease in approach angle. We have a video of him at a local trail consistantly hitting and sliding/grinding his bumper up to a rock in order to begin climbing it.

Yeah, It does decrease it quite a bit. Once I get some lift under it the bumper will be sufficient for what I do. If not I'll get a JCR and sell the ARB! :D

I'd either ditch the ARB or cut it up. Even when you lift the rig you'll still want the extra clearance for placing tires onto rocks.

I love the Look of it so I'll run it for a while. I don't really run Hard trails. I rubbed the tow points pretty bad at Badlands climbing a rock ledge but I attribute that to no lift and 235's.
