It is HILARIOUS that the main thing these people keep repeating is "must raise taxes". You can't get blood out of a rock, you can't keep bleeding the taxpayers--too simple for these Progressive Socialist Peoples Party Internationale comrades to understand? Apparently.
Well, the people voted for these IDIOTS, some even voted many, many times (ACORN), hell, even the DEAD in Illinois keep registering to vote for the socialists.

Ironic.....it has never succeeded either.
One can call it Democracy, National Socialism (Nazi party),Progressivism, Community Organizing, Marxism, Leninism, Communism. The end result is always the same. The God-given Rights and Freedoms of the people are replaced with the will of the ruling few, who make their wealth and power from the labors of those they oppress.
It's a great concept, but to date, no one has been able to filter out the corruption and greed component.
Socialism, in order to be a successful governing ideology, must rely on every individual under its umbrella, to be as altruistic and pure as the ideology itself. This is why socialist governments have never been successful, and can never be.

Not a political view, but an observation:
At our parts stores we have noticed that quite a few of our customers who do large amounts of business with the state have been late paying their bills. Several have been complaining how the state is their worst customer.
One was complaining about having trouble paying his property taxes because he hadn't been paid by the state yet. "They take their time paying you, but you better not be late getting your money to them" he said.

Incompetence isn't mutually exclusive to socialist governments.
Incompetence is inclusive of all government types.

Well there is a difference between Inept, Socialist, and Corrupt. George Ryan pretty much kicked off the corruptness in the governor's office a decade ago and it didn't get better under Blago, when he was replaced with our current governor it hasn't improved, things just switched to incompetence..................

Agreed, which is why smaller government is better and allows the people and their economy to prosper.
Socialism by design (which includes governmental control of industry/economy in general), stifles economic growth and development.
Illinois is proof, as is California, that you can't layer in a "little Socialism" over the top of Capitolism and expect it to be a success. It only take a little urine to ruin a milkshake......
