if not, you can go with drums... but you can lock up 33s with the rear discs.. its a very nice thing to have... all you need to do to the master cylinder is change the prop valve from a ZJ... took me 2 minutes, literally (unscrew bolt, jerk out XJ valve/spring, fork in ZJ valve spring, rescrew bolt)
You can lock up 33's with drums, even with my D35 drums I was able to. Neil can lock up his 35's with his D44 drums. I'm not saying disc brakes don't have ther merit, especially if you want to change your wheel patern. The only true brake upgrade of course is the front, that's where 70% or more of your braking takes place anyway. In conculsion I'm with Eagle,
i just hate drums. period. too sensitive to the elements. I agree that they are nice when they work, but mine were always messed up somehow. just my expereinces.
Thank you all for your ideas and opinions. I'm pretty much locked in with the discs as the conversion has already started. but now i will know what to look for if they dont work
is there a specific year of Zj that i should get this Pvalve from?
