So Cal desert rats

I found my clunk.I've been looking & looking for it, but i found it.I was in the garage when i guess i passed out hit my head on my rock rail before i hit the floor, this from the trail of blood i found on the jeep and floor.Another time for this story ok, but anyways i was laying on the floor looking up trying to think how i got there when i saw the TRANS mount isn't bolted on the trans.I guess it came on done? The bolts are GONE.LOL.I put some new/old ones in and it tighten down nice.Guess what, i don't have LOW RANGE againhasta.I need to remove the crossmember and get it straightened out and then see if i can get low range to work again. Also found the mount for the muffler is broke off and the crossmember too.Now i am going to park this jeep on jack stands for awhile so i can get it all fixed right.

I also tore the front shock off the rest of the way and it is bent, glad i had a spare one..
SO how was your 4th of JULY?

Not sure yet..... Just seeing who's down? I wanna go check out Holcomb creek though, but that would have to be on Thursday or Friday when I'm off.... Gotta go to skullvers house to get parts either on Friday or Saturday but I wanna get some wheeling in soon....

Reading is helpful Scott.... :D

Yeah, I've actually got a surgery scheduled for the end of the month to get that crap removed and make me human again...

Not keep an old topic running but, fox u may be young but I have seen 80 year olds walk better than u! U r pretty much half metal now right? Mr bionic man!

I hate to repeat myself from thread to thread and I hate to thread jack/break the rules once again, but I'll be making myself and Aaron some bumpers and possibly tire carriers in the next week or so. If anyone else is interested, please let me know. It's easier and sometimes cheaper to buy a full length of steel.
I'm an out of work welder/fabricator so if anyone has any special requests, let me know. If you need references, ask Aaron. I assure you, I know what I'm doing.

Hope I haven't stepped on any toes...

Brad

Nice for you to offer brad but i got all the stuff on both the jeeps already. You need to also do rock rails for your guys jeeps too.

Dude us RATS love to step on toes, thats just what we do.:D

Scott - Thanks for the advice. That is definitely something I will be doing soon. Only, it'll be a rocker panel replacement.

Tone - PM me your number and I'll give you a call this week and talk about making you something.

I think I've seen three. All the others I've seen were under the rocker design. Is this a hobby or are You going to sell these?

Somebody needs to ask ryan who made the tie rod setup from his jeep or what size tie rod ends it takes.AKA 1 tons or what.I'm thinking of going with heim's at this point. So if one of you hill folks could do this for me. Thanks

Well, I'd love to make some money at it, given the fact that ive got no job right now. Steering linkage is easy, Scott. I'd make it out your way if it were worth wile. Im sure I could find my way back to your place.

If I was tooled for it, I'd make what I've seen the most of. Scott's bumper is a Very popular design. It's more fabrication but I see more and more of them. Tube bumpers are popular too. I've seen more below the rocker rock sliders, other then the Guy's that didn't see the need until They smashed their rocker panels, on the Jeeps and trucks at Truckhaven and other wheeling areas. A tube bender to make cages, even a harbor freight bender would do the job. Scott would be all over a cage, Tone wants one too. Just saying maybe instead of re-inventing the wheel, make a better one at a price that is not so prohibitive in these time's.

 got a guy coming by to weld the axle tubes today or so he said he would. This takes a load off the mind.He said he should be able to do it with them in the jeep, we'll see. Now for the little chit after this gets done.:D But that means i have to spend money, she isn't going to be happy with that part.:smsoap:
