If anyone is heading back up to Uncle Toms I am going that way on Saturday. Leaving Lincoln at 8am and stopping in G-town for fuel and sandwiches at Whortons Market. Plan on a quick stop and Uncle Toms and then up the hill till whenever. Plan on being back home in the early afternoon.

i will be there around 8. also tried to tune the cb and found it worked fine short range. i have the meter but im not sure how much help its gonna be.

Sean, see what happens with another CB. I am able to tune my radios down close to the 1.5 SWR mark. I really don't know why you are pegging so high. Also see about temporarily swapping radios with somebody else to eliminate that as a problem.

So, we went up to Sly Park yesterday. The lady at the park entrance said that we wouldn't find any snow to play in there and suggested we head up Mormon Emigrant Trail. The snow covered the road about 13 miles from Hwy 50 (MAP HERE) and was no fun to drive in. It might have been the days conditions or whatever, but it was like packed ice.

It could have gotten more fun farther up, I dunno... we stopped 50 yards or so into it and let the dogs horse around.

mormon emigrant is the road to play on. we can only go so far because of a gate so no one can cut all the way over to 88 but i doubt we can get that far back in there. the snow is always beat and wont pack good down lower because of all the people in suv's and cars heading up to sled in the snow. it gets better the further back you go because not everyone can get back there.

cant go my jeep is XXXXed. im so pissed off. i have done so many coils and control arms upper and lower on my jeep so many times. cant get my front axle back under the jeep after swapping in 4.5" coils that ended up being 3.25" and so i had to pull em again and throw some spacers. now its all screwed up. i have no way of lining up the front end to get the control arms in(uppers are in, lowers arent) im so pissed right now. been working on it since 8. its 230. still messed up.
so bummed and i need help

alirght, i was way tired and it was almost 3am last night.
after ed stopped by this morning i started it again. had it all done in an hour. even adjusting the steering and trackbar, put a fresh ube of grease in, and kicked the shit outta the axle and test drove it aorund the block to check for creaks, crappy steering, etc. i gotta take it on the freeway tonight and make sure no weird crap.
i ended up throwing some 4x4s on top of the frame side jacks and that made all the difference. was super fast. and i must been just delirious last night not to think about that. also pissy since the 4.5" coils were 3.25" and had to throw the spacers back in!
and taking off the coils 3-4 times in one night and putting the tires and shocks etc back on each time cuz i thought i was done each time....and all the control arms and adjusting them to 15.75 and then back to 17 when they wouldnt barely turn even after heat and pb blaster. it was a long night i guess and it made me not think straight
anyway, looks good, and ill be ready, just going into work right now a little late
plus i replaced my control arm bushings and installed passenger side alloy outer seal while i was at it

and shoot, for that matter, anyone need help getting their junk ready?
