Too much snow to work on the jeep so I am thinking I might make a welding cart. Right now I have a small 120v Hobart flux welder but plan to go 240v with a bottle at some point. I have some mid-sized casters left over from another project but I don't have the steel yet. I was thinking maybe a pair of 1'x2' shelves stacked vertically with the welder on top, and cutout for a bottle between the back shelving and the push handle. Or maybe something else. Show me what you've got

I do not have any pictures, but I used an old engine stand to make mine. I built a large shelf a little over waist hight that had supports that bolted to the parts of the stand meant to hold the engine. Cut a hole in the back for the bottle, and put a floor across the bottom. It worked ok up till my dad stopped being a cheap bastard and bought a good cart.

I like this a lot but I wouldn't do diagonal cross members or diamond plate

They used a dolly for the back part and made a box for the front. I have freewheeling casters that can be used for that already, and Lowes has a "budget" dolly for $25 that looks like it will work.
