Shotgun, stock or no stock?

But how can you look "Kewl!" if you don't have a bayonet?

If I were to get convicted by the color of the gun I think I would have stood no chance in the first place...

Could argue it came that way from the factory, nothing is an "add-on" and the camo was used for hunting. I see a lot of turkey guns with the word Tactical stuck on them even anymore.

I do hear what're saying though, I can't help but be drawn towards the cool looking stuff though sigh. They do offer the same shotgun in a grey finish...

Dunno - given the attitude of the general public toward firearms in general (look at the asininity being published, and the fact that they don't get called on it. The misappropriation of the phrase "assault rifle" or "assault weapon" particuarly sticks in my craw...) and I'm inclined to believe the "make it look like a wallhanger" argument.

That's why I stuck with the basic Parked metal/plain synthetic stocks. No heat shield (not really necessary anyhow.) No bayo lug (what for?) No pistol grip (don't really like them anyhow - and I think it looks better without the thing.) Just a dirt-simple pumper with a stock sized somewhere in between what I need (6'3") and what my wife needs (5'2") - and that we can both use effectively.

She's a better shot than I am, but I can pick up anything and know how to use it almost immediately (where she cannot.) So, it all evens out.

She's got an Arisaka rebarreled to 7.62x39 that she's pure terror with, and she handles my M1991A1 and her Model 29 with equal ease. It takes a bit longer to train her up on a new firearm, but she's a natural once she's got the hang of a new gun. I've got to work at it, most times.

Speaking of which, I took the ole lady shooting a while back and finally got her talked into actually shooting. I've been asking but never pressuring her to shoot, I figure that's gotta be something a person decides to do when they feel comfortable. She has been comfortable around my guns and showed interest in shooting but always backed out when it came time to pick it up and shoot.

Her first time with my 9mm pistol she went way high didn't hit the paper. The following shots all got closer and before the mag ran out she hit the bulls-eye and it was awesome. She wanted to keep shooting but it started to rain sadly. It really sucks in the sudden rush of rain and cleaning up we lost her paper target, she was wanting to take it to work and show it off ehhe.

If it ain't rainin' we ain't trainin'

It was also foggy and we couldn't see 20 feet and we were out in the woods in my buddies stock beast of a trail blazer(3 row seat minivan). We weren't sure how capable it was on the best of conditions, we didn't want to tempt things with mud ha.

have fun shooting buckshot and slugs through the straight pistol grip. Did it for a while and decided that wasn't as fun as it looks in the movies. I went to a pistol grip stock which gives me good control while not sacrificing comfort.
