green the ring only.

See I was going to say that, just the other way around. :confused1
Green the wheel, leave the ring shiny. Heck after one trip out they won't look nice and polised anyway, right?

Gloss Black wheel, Green Ring would look good too. The only downside with doing the wheel in your OD green is cleaning them. Dirt sticks to non-gloss paint too good, and with those rings they'll be a bitch to clean!

These were waiting for me at the front door when I got home from work.

I had those in 38's on my old Bronco they are kick but on the trail...
Be prepared of the extra stress the axles will now have.. Compared to those other tires.. Carry extra shafts and kick butt, Those tires are one of the heaviest made too. Nice upgrade..

I already have alloy axles and CTM's. And I carry spare fronts. However, the new Swampers are actually lighter than the 35" Toyo's. I'm not too worried.....yet.

I'm curious though, what made you go SX's over Iroks?

I've got nothing against Iroks, but I've never seen anybody around here using them. They seem more like a rock tire to me, but thats just my opinion. My thought is the SX's are better, tougher, all around tire for the PNW. I'm also planning on grooving and siping the center blocks.

Also, the SXs are a little less expensive than the Iroks if I remember correctly, and I've always wanted to try some.

Imo, Iroks kick a** in the snow... with my STT Coopers "maybe" second from what Ive seen..
Now everything "else" between the Iroks or TSL/SX's both execellent off road tires..

The TSL/SX's do outperform the Iroks in the slippery traction situations.. While the Iroks out perform the TSL/SX's on the rocks...

When you consider price and no snow, it's really tough to beat the TSL/SX's in my book ..
Personally, I do not recommend siping them.. just personal preference for rubber chunking problems when spinning those meats.. They will grab or break enough stuff..:-)
