Sensors & little stuff for your backwoods repair kit?

My everyday list (some of this stuff is just easier to leave in all the time)

  1. Hi lift
  2. Fullsize spare
  3. D-handle shovel
  4. bottle jack
  5. 4 way tire iron
  6. flashlight
  7. fire extinguisher
  8. Full set of axle shafts (they're heavy and hide in the secret compartment behind my back seat and in front of my roll out drawers; easier just to leave them in there all the time)
  9. Quart of oil
  10. Quart of power steering fluid
  11. Quart of tranny fluid
  12. Barrs radiator stop leak
  13. Barrs oil stop leak
  14. 2 part epoxy putty
  15. fast set JB weld
  16. fuses
  17. wire
  18. strippers
  19. electrical tape
  20. test light
  21. alligator clip leads
  22. tie wraps
  23. tire plug kit
  24. valve cores
  25. Service manual & printouts from alldatadity.com
  26. Adjustable wrenches, pliers, 8 way screwdriver
  27. emergency blanket
  28. emergency poncho
  29. triangle reflectors
  30. recovery strap
  31. Paper shop towels
  32. Garbage bags
  33. Bungee cords
  34. Ratchet straps
  35. First aid kit
  36. CB radio
  37. 2m ham radio
  38. Jumper cables

For the long trail:

  1. CO2 tank & filler
  2. Enough fluids to completely refill anything in the engine
  3. Kitty litter
  4. Action packer to hold that stuff; doubles as emergency drain pan
  5. Three boxes of tools, mechanical, electrical, & misc
  6. HF ham radio (eventually)
  7. Sun shade
  8. Tarp
  9. Jack stands (sometimes)
Everything stows in my rollout drawers or gets ratchet-strapped down, for safety.

I'm working on onboard air and welder.

One of my goals has been to put together a smaller toolset that will allow me to do the most likely jobs, like the axle shafts.

I should probably add ball joint press, ball joints, & pickle fork to the list. And WD40. Spare sensors. Probably a bunch of other crap.

Maybe I should just buy my wife an XJ and have her drive the spare :D
