Senate vote today?

Pz, do you think it is legal for felons to own fire arms? Yet they get them. How exactly does a background check stop any of this.
What do you suggest to stop this? A background check then an interview with Ms. Cleo?

You are less likely to be killed with a firearm than to be incarcerated by your own govt. think about that.

By the way, it was just a mild dislike for people like you before this week. This week I had the Privilege of sitting in on the senate hearings. I then got to watch our elected officials play on their ipads, iphones, macbooks all day long. Then at the end of the day say "yay" without having listened to a word of argument, because they are democrats and that is what they were expected to do.
 
People like me. That's that stereotyping too bad. U know nothing about me other than an opinion on one subject. Truth be told is I am republican but I don't just jump on board with every choice that the Republican Party decides to back.

I'm not Republican, don't fall in line with many of their choices either.

The fact that you are a "Republican" and support citizens punishment for the actions of criminals and the insane makes you even worse in my book, a cancer from within if you will. I prefer my enemies to stand in a row in front of me on an issue, not behind me.
 
your opinion on the subject classifies you as that "kind of person". Stereotype/classification, pick your poison. But this isn't about political party. This is about trying to change the country to suit you.
 
Well he can think, and say, all he wants - as that is his right. But the whole actually trying to infringe on mine with actions thing, thats where it crosses the line. Supporting those that are trying to infringe on my rights crosses the line.

You sure you aren't a Democrat? That's their tactic. Your ideas and beliefs are dangerous to my rights, DOUBLY SO WHEN YOU CLAIM TO BE ON MY SIDE! There is a place where that's already enacted. Move there, stop trying to take my rights.

There have not been ANY innocent people shot by law abiding citizens and we are the only ones that will be affected by these chicken sheet laws. No one hates you just not willing to hear the liberal BS if you want people safe then keep your damn hands off our guns! Its a statisticle fact that more guns (in the hands of lawabiding people) equals less crime.
 
The problem with the idea of making it harder to get any kind of gun is that it ONLY makes it harder for the legal, law abiding citizen who never has any intention of hurting anyone to get them.

A crazy nut job intent on hurting five year olds will still find a way. If he can't do it with guns, he will run them down in a crosswalk or build a home made bomb or kill them in any number of other ways.

All the while, people like me and most of us here who would never dream of doing such a thing won't be able to get the guns we want.

How is it better to go the way of NAZI Germany and Communist China and Russia? They all disarmed their citizens before they rounded them up and slaughtered them.

Dont be fooled into thinking it cant happen here, cause it can and will if we allow the Gov to slowly take our rights they will just get bolder and bolder!
