Sorry, Saleen pays for the move and then some. You can volunteer to come and help me figure out the rat's nest of vacuum lines, though

Where are you moving too? Do you have some pics of the zj? I always wanted a 5.9 zj. I know they only came in 3 colors (white, black, and Platinum Silver).

Rat's nest geesh you only need vacuum to the brake booster and the FPR the rest should be tossed :)

We are 90% sure that we are moving to CO unless some magic high paying job opens up for me, and even then...

Shoot me your email addy and I'll send some pics. The color is Deep Slate which isn't quite black, more of a charcoal. The car is a total kick in the pants and needs NOTHING.

Where abouts in CO? I have an aunt and uncle and 2 cousins living in Loveland by Ft. Collins. They have a steakhouse in Loveland called the Black Steer. Tell them you know me and you might get a free meal, or at least a discount. I was thinking of moving there from Illinois, but my wife's parents moved to Cali and I followed them here. I like CO alot. I hope you'll use you XJ alot there. My e-mail address is: [email protected]
Want to trade for my 98' zj 4.0L/242 t-case with 74K miles and my 89' xj on 3.5"re lift with new 31"bfg mt km's?

You won't be disappointed I love my PSD, gets as much if not more MPG than the 99 V8 GC not bad for a 7000+ lb tank

I smoked a Ricky Ricer Racer yesterday at a stoplight, had the trailer(18ft flatbed unloaded) on and all :)

CO is alot further than placerville, I'll have to consult with the guys but I bet we could reach some agreement to stop or at least cut down the teasing you about your rarerly running junk if you stayed around. :) :)

No trades, we are putting the cash towards a PSD Excursion. Finally, a proper tow rig. Pics sent

Where are you moving in Colorado? Ft. Collins, Denver, Colorado Springs, other??? Man Denver would be a great place with the trails not to far from your doorstep. Kind of similar to it her in Sac with the Rubicon and Fordyce within a 1-1/2 or so from our doorstep. You have to check out Moab at least a few times a year being in Colorado. I have never been there yet, but know it's within 4 hrs or so of Denver swinging down I-70 especially now since you are getting that tow rig, you'll be flying. :)

Didn't you just ask him that?

Yeah, and I didn't get an answer yet in the response. I'm just wondering. Sean should be able to find enough wheeling to keep him busy. It would be cool to compare the CO wheeling with the Sierra Nevada type stuff we see here. Both of these "C" states have plenty of wheeling. That's probably the farthest East I'd go and still be happy with the wheeling and scenery.

Nice looking ZJ Sean. Do you have any interior pics of it? It would look great with the new 31" bfg mts I was planning to put on my ZJ with a 2" bb lift. :)

Gary,

Yeah CO is a bit further than Placerville. We have struggled with the decision of living on one income and CA just isn't friendly to that mindset. We can go to CO and buy a house with cash and still have money left over. If I stay here I need to make $90-100K a year and while I know I can get a job that pays that (tech sales), I am burnt out on doing those jobs. While the trauma we went thru in 03 with Emma and Marni was tough, it really puts everything in perspective.

So, Big Red, in answer to your question, I have no idea where we will live or how I will make a living. But having no debt is a step towards thumbing my nose at the corporate world and living on MY terms. And, yes those 31s will look killer on the 5.9 after you buy it.

I wish you the best and hope everything works out. I live in a 1 person income, my own. My wife has alot of health problems like Chronic Fatigue sydrome, Fibermyalja. Thyroid issues, etc. So far we have done o.k., it's just stressful when I spend so much $ and time on jeeps. I need to sell 2 of them at the moment and some parts, I have 4 now (98' zj, 91' xj, 89' xj, 85' CJ7). Colorado is a nice state and you should do good. Try to get a job in the Denver metro area. I hope to see your xj in here as part of the group in CO. They have a nice group out there I see, John John (Big Offroad Guy).

So, are you still coming to down in Feb, or is all this talk about moving and a new job giving you an excuse to wimp out?

:dunno:

WOW! I never noticed California and Colorado both start with a C! That's amazing! You learn something new on NAXJA every day, well worth my membership money.
I want my money back, as I had found this out last year!

 You learn something everyday around here right? Glad I could help.

Gonna play this one by ear. We hope to have our house on the market by 2/1 and sold by mid march. Who knows. Some houses around here sell the first weekend, some a lot longer.

SeanP

U should be able to sell it quick around here. I would even try to sell it yourself if you can so you get all the $ you can for your new house. My place already has gone up over $100K in the 2 years I've had it.
More $ for Jeep stuff. :)
