should only be a 28 spline axle, though. FWIW, I used to break them with "reckless abandon" in the old drag car ('66 Mustang) running only 425HP/440TQ through 3.90:1 gears and drag radials. I'd recommend a 31 spline upgrade (at least) for wheeling.

i want to get a set of 31's but after watching Alpha turn these type tires into racing slicks in a 2 inch mud puddle, id be weary of 30-40% tread for $150

I REALLY need to get out there... I have heard that LKQ is about the only place in the Raleigh area that has a decent selection of stuff.
